Floyd's Nemesis!

"Ha ha ha ha, Floyd, how have you been lately? It's quite a coincidence, really, meeting you in such a remote place."

Suddenly, a figure flew out from the dense forest.

Yes, flew!

Because the person had a pair of wings sprouting from his back!

Someone had evolved wings!

In his hands, he held a long spear, which sparkled with fine electricity, crackling with electric light.

On the ground, four more people walked, one of whom had a missile launcher on his shoulder, loading a mini missile into it as he moved.

Seeing these five individuals, Floyd's complexion changed drastically.

Without any hesitation, Floyd knelt towards Maxwell's retreating figure and shouted loudly, "I'll give you all my possessions if you agree to save us!"

Hearing this, Maxwell paused but didn't turn around, snickering, he asked, "What do you have?"

Maxwell's intentions were simple; he wanted to raise Eva and Carline's levels higher and had no interest in getting involved in personal vendettas.

However, hearing Floyd out wouldn't hurt, especially if something truly enticing was offered; he wouldn't mind lending a hand.

Floyd, slightly relieved by Maxwell's response—the worst he feared was Maxwell ignoring him altogether—hurriedly said, "I have twelve energy crystals from zombies and ten Holy Crystals. I also have quite a few credits that I can transfer to you, and some techniques..."

"What's a Holy Crystal?" Maxwell inquired.

"Don't you know about these?"

The five individuals were getting closer, and Floyd's heart raced in panic. He quickly explained: "Holy Crystals formed about three hundred years ago when purple gases in the Earth's atmosphere descended to the ground and merged with underground rock layers. Their effect isn't as potent as the energy crystals found in zombies, but their value can be compensated by their quantity and size. One Holy Crystal can equate to the energy of several Tier 1 mutated zombie crystals."

"Oh, is that so? I'm not interested," Maxwell said.

"I can also offer future profits in advance—ten years, no, twenty years of all my earnings! Mainly because this time, to save people, I've used many of my resources to exchange for this fighter jet and missiles!" Floyd's face turned ashen as he spoke anxiously.

However, Maxwell gave no further response and continued walking down the mountain.

"Whoosh!"

Suddenly, a missile flew directly towards Maxwell.

Maxwell's pupils contracted, and his feet stomped on the ground, propelling him over ten meters into the air to dodge the missile.

"What powerful jumping ability!" Floyd's eyes sharpened, then he brightened up with a realization.

He had been worrying about this person refusing to help, and now, this group had provoked him on their own initiative!

It seemed they had arrived recently and were unaware of the events that had happened before, underestimating the situation, or else they wouldn't have rashly provoked him like this.

"If you're willing to help me now, all the terms I've mentioned before will stand!" Floyd shouted.

...

After dodging the missile, Maxwell gracefully landed back on the ground.

Unexpectedly, the missile turned and came back. This time, Maxwell was prepared and didn't choose to jump away. Instead, he slightly shifted to the side, and the missile brushed past the front of his shirt.

Everyone from Supreme Hall was stunned by what they just witnessed.

What kind of maneuver was that!

It was all too extreme!

After Maxwell dodged the missile, his demeanor remained calm and collected, as if he had just performed a trivial task. This composure only elevated his stature in the eyes of the five Supreme Hall students, especially among the two female students, who blushed and their eyes sparkled with admiration as they watched him.

The strength of Evolvers usually lies in their abilities, which means many Evolvers possess formidable powers capable of catastrophic destruction, but their physical bodies tend to be fragile.

Of course, there are also Evolvers who focus on cultivating their physical bodies through specific techniques, but these individuals are rare. Moreover, their powers tend to be more balanced compared to those who focus solely on abilities, without such exaggerated capabilities. Strengthening their bodies also means fewer weaknesses and a less pronounced set of standout features.

However, Maxwell's performance clearly indicated he was an Evolver who had trained his body. Even without the augmentation of special abilities, his physical prowess was already formidable.

Such individuals are even more daunting because they inherently have no obvious weaknesses.

"Such quick reactions! This man is a master!" exclaimed the winged man in the sky, visibly surprised.

He suddenly regretted provoking Maxwell.

No, this wasn't mere provocation.

His actions were intended as a cleanup—eliminating irrelevant individuals to facilitate his operations. Moreover, this wasn't the first time he had done something like this.

"How could such a remote place have such a formidable person! Dodging a missile isn't everything. I'll see just how powerful you really are!"

Determined, regardless of the opponent, now that enmity was established, reconciliation was impossible. The only option was to eliminate the threat completely to prevent future problems.

With a flap of his wings, the man in the sky soared even higher.

"Be careful, this is a member of the Thunderclap family, named Samuel, who possesses lightning-based abilities. His thunder strike is extremely powerful!" Floyd shouted from behind Maxwell, seeing the scene unfold.

The winged Samuel ascended to about a kilometer high, then suddenly reversed direction and dove toward the ground.

Incorporating both gravity and momentum into his attack!

Taking advantage of the distance to dive? With the benefit of high-altitude diving, Samuel's speed reached its peak, like an eagle swiftly closing in on its prey.

His long spear pointed forward, aimed at Maxwell, and his face soon twisted into a ferocious grin.

Just as he was about to strike Maxwell, Samuel suddenly paused in mid-air, his spear trembling as a massive burst of lightning and light poured out, instantly engulfing Maxwell.

"You think I want to fight you hand-to-hand! Only a fool would rely on melee when they have abilities!"

Samuel hovered about ten meters above Maxwell, laughing heartily, seeming utterly thrilled.

To be able to cultivate one's body through techniques and ascend as an Evolver, such a person is without exception a martial arts master with formidable physical prowess. Such individuals have extremely strong physical conditions, super-fast reaction speeds, and their combat skills are undoubtedly rich.

For an ability-based Evolver and a martial arts master to engage in close combat would be absurdly risky!

In Samuel's eyes, it was clear he considered Maxwell among such elite fighters.
