Chapter 22; Are you Mrs Walter

She remembered Ryan's words.

…. Romeo Is just heart broken. When he loves he loves hard…

At that moment Trina wondered if Romeo would ever love her.

——

The following morning, Romeo slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings.

He was met with the sight of Trina was fast asleep beside him.

Romeo's mind was foggy, and he struggled to remember the events of the previous night.

He vaguely recalled getting drunk and...and something else.

As he looked at Trina, memories of the previous night started to flood back. He remembered kissing her, mistaking her for Amber.

Romeo's face flushed with embarrassment, and he got off the bed.

At that moment Trina who had slept off woke up and saw him walk away.

She got up and sat on the bed wondering what she was going to do next when Romeo came back to the room and found her awake.

Romeo took a deep breath and turned to face Trina. "Trina, I...I'm so sorry about last night," he said, his voice laced with regret.

Trina looked at him, her expression unreadable. "What are you sorry about, Romeo?" she asked, her voice neutral.

Romeo hesitated, unsure of how to explain. "I'm sorry about...about kissing you," he said finally. "I was drunk, and I mistook you for...for someone else."

Here's a continuation:

Romeo looked at Trina, expecting anger or hurt. But instead, she just shrugged and said, "It's okay, Romeo. I know you don't love me anyway."

Romeo felt a pang of guilt and regret. He hadn't expected Trina to be so understanding, and her words cut deep.

"What do you mean?" Romeo asked, trying to sound nonchalant despite the growing unease in his chest.

Trina looked at him, her eyes sparkling with a hint of sadness. "I mean, we both know this marriage was arranged by your mother. You never had a choice, and you don't love me. I'm just a convenient solution to your mother's plans."

Romeo felt a surge of emotions, but before he could respond, Trina continued.

"It's okay, Romeo. I've accepted it. But please, let's just be honest with each other from now on."

What would you like to happen next? Would you like:

1. Romeo to try and reassure Trina that he's committed to their marriage

2. Trina to tell Romeo she wants a divorce

3. Romeo to confess his true feelings to Trina

4. Something else (please specify)Here's a continuation:

"It's okay, Romeo. Don't mind it ." Trina said and left the room.

In deep thoughts Trina decided to have a walk around the hotel compound which was big and beautiful.

Romeo was just going to the window when he noticed her moving slowly.

' What's she on ?'

He asked himself unbothered and watched to see where she was going.

Romeo watched Trina walk away, her loneliness palpable even from a distance.

For a moment, he felt a pang of guilt and regret. But it was quickly replaced by his usual indifference.

He shrugged to himself, thinking that Trina's feelings weren't his problem.

He had done what his mother had asked of him, and now he just wanted to enjoy the rest of his honeymoon in peace.

Romeo turned away from the window and walked over to the mini-bar.

He poured himself a drink and sat down on the couch, feeling relieved that he didn't have to deal with Trina's emotions right now.

As he sipped his drink, he couldn't help but think about Amber, his ex. He wondered what she was doing right now, and whether she ever thought about him.

——

Trina walked into the hotel lobby, lost in thought. She didn't notice the two girls staring at her until they approached her.

"Excuse me, are you Mrs. Walter?" one of the girls asked, looking at Trina with excitement.

Trina was taken aback. "How do you know my name?" she asked.

The other girl held up a newspaper. "We saw your wedding in the paper. You're married to Romeo Walter! One of the richest and handsome men in the city "

Trina's face fell as she realized that her private life was now public knowledge. She forced a smile onto her face.

"Yes, that's me," she said. "It's nice to meet you both."

The two girls chatted excitedly with Trina, asking her questions about her wedding and her husband.

" You must be lucky to marry such a handsome man. I wish I were you" One of them spoke with admiration.

" Hahaha.."Trina tried to be polite, but she couldn't help feeling like she was living a lie.

" You must be on your honeymoon. How did it go ?" The girls inquired.

"Oh, it's been amazing," Trina said, forcing a smile onto her face. "Romeo has been spoiling me rotten. We've been going on romantic walks, having candlelit dinners...it's been like a dream come true."

The girls squealed with excitement, and Trina felt a pang of guilt for lying to them. She hoped that Romeo wouldn't find out about her fabricated story.

Romeo had decided to go back to the room when he spotted Trina chatting with two girls, and his eyes narrowed as he listened in on their conversation.

Trina was laughing and smiling, telling the girls about their romantic honeymoon.

Romeo's eyes widened in surprise as he realized that Trina was lying about their honeymoon.

He felt a surge of anger and embarrassment. Why was Trina pretending that their marriage was perfect? Didn't she know that he didn't love her?

Romeo strode over to the group, his presence commanding attention.

"Trina, can I have a word with you?" he asked, his voice cold and detached.

The girls couldn't believe they were seeing Romeo himself.

" Mr Walter , Is this really you ?" The first girl couldn't help asking.

Romeo faked a smile and held Trina's hand and took her away.

" Oh my, He's more handsome than he is in newspapers and tv !" The second girl exclaimed.

Romeo took Trina to their room once again.
