His mother frowned, concern etched into her features. "Is everything alright, my dear? You seem... troubled."

"I... I found out today that I don't have the ability to wield elemental magic," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's seems I won't be able to become a mage and explore the world".

His mother's expression softened with sympathy as she reached out to gently caress his cheek. "Oh, Eldric, I'm so sorry," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "But remember, you are more than just your abilities. You have a kind heart, a strong spirit, and a family who loves you unconditionally."
