The morning sun cast its warm glow over Eldoria as Eldric made his way to his father's forge, his heart filled with anticipation for another day of work. As he entered the bustling marketplace, he could feel the energy of the city pulsating around him—a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of life and commerce.
Arriving at the forge, Eldric found his father already hard at work, his brow furrowed with concentration as he tended to the flames. "Good morning, Father," Eldric greeted, eager to begin another day of learning.
His father smiled warmly, but there was a twinkle in his eye that Eldric couldn't quite decipher. "Good morning, my boy," he replied. "Today, I have a special task for you, however that can wait till later" Eldric looked at his father in confusing but didn't question him as he knew his father would eventually tell him as he wasn't one to keep secrets.
"Come help me with the forge, we can discuss this task later" Eldrics father said with impatience. "Yes father" Eldric said while hurrying forward to help with the bellows.
Eldric helped his father with the forge till midday, helping move coal, pumping the bellows, and bending metal under his father's gaze.
"Good work boy" Eldrics father huffed while wiping the sweat of his forehead. "Nows the time to tell of your task" he said while smiling.
Eldrics heart raced with anticipation as he was very curious what his father wanted from him. Eldrics father pulled out a small pouch and a letter and placed it is Eldrics hands. "There are some coins for you to spend as you wish" eldircs father said with a smile, "however you can only spend them as you wish if you go to the market and give that letter to the man who gives us coal"
Eldrics heart raced at the possibility of exploring the city and having his own money to spend. "Yes father" Eldric said while having a huge grin on his face. Eldrics father waved him off with a warning, "make sure your back before dark otherwise your mother will have my head!" He shouted as eldric had already started running into the city.
"Yes sir!" Eldric said while waving goodbye. Eldric set off running into the heart of the city, his senses alive with the sights and sounds of Eldoria. From the bustling marketplaces to the winding alleyways, he wandered through the labyrinthine streets, marveling at the vibrant tapestry of life that surrounded him.
Along the way, Eldric encountered a colorful cast of characters—a street performer juggling balls of fire, a group of merchants haggling over the price of spices, and a troupe of actors performing a play in the town square.
