"University is boring. They love dumping assignments on our faces," Ariel complained on the call. George was sitting with his feet propped up on a stool, lazily twirling a pen between his fingers.

His gaze drifted to the wall clock, checking the time. Anaya must have known by now that Star Corps was closed today. He had made sure that the driver stayed there in case she wanted to come back.

"You must be getting ready for the office?" Ariel's voice pulled him back, completely unaware of his thoughts.

"Yeah… N-no…!" he fumbled which was rare.

"That's confusing. Is it a yeah or neh? Is it about a girl?"

George stiffened, momentarily caught off guard. His brows knitted together as he sat up straighter, "Girl?"

"Yeah. Aunt Sophie once told me that Daddy closed the office just because Mom was scared to go to the office. He got the office building fumigated. I hope it's not the same in your case."
