CHAPTER 25

Edward blasted to Klaus like a cannonball that had just been fired.

Klaus was static on his spot, he was thinking of how to approach Edward without giving himself off.

He would have to fight with the precise power needed to beat Edward, so the fight might be longer and he would need to fake a struggle.

If he beats Edward so easily, Tessa and everybody here would start having strange ideas about him. He doesn't want Tessa to start having such ideas, so he must handle himself carefully so a little of his power doesn't break loose.

Edward reached Klaus in less than three seconds, they weren't standing far away in the first place, so he got to Klaus quickly.

"Time to die brat"

Edward smashed his fist to Klaus's face, his movement seemed to cause a loud sound in the premises, like the air was vibrating.

Klaus saw the attack coming to him in a slow manner, and he easily moved out of the way.

Edward hits an empty air, his eyes widened in shock seeing Klaus dodge his attack, he was a three-star warrior reaching to break into a fourth-star warrior, no way a mere human would be fast enough to dodge his attack, even though it seemed like luck, he dodged it.

Jeremy was surprised Klaus dodged the attack, to him that was Klaus's death moment because Edward seemed to have put a lot into the strike, but Klaus miraculously evaded it, he sure wouldn't be able to evade the next one.

Tessa was motionless on her spot, she didn't know what to do, it was a surprise that Klaus managed to evade Edward's strike, but how long would he last, she knew he wouldn't be able to win Edward, the rank was just too far.

What would be Klaus fate when he lose?

Edward's face turned ugly. He wanted to end this with one blow, but this little brat had mistakenly evaded his strike, and now it was starting to become a disgrace that a head commander couldn't bring down a mere private with one attack.

Edward squeezed his fist hard and sent it to Klaus's middle, Klaus didn't bother to react to the attack, he let the attack hit him.

BANG!

The force sent Klaus staggering backward, and Edward quickly followed suit, he launched a series of attacks on Klaus, but Klaus evaded all his attacks effortlessly.

Edward face darkened more, he didn't know how Klaus was evading his attack, he was finding it ridiculous and humiliating, this wasn't how he planned the fight, how could he be struggling with a mere Private?

Edward's rage took over and he released all his warrior energy. Jeremy's eyebrows raised to his eyes, Edward was finally serious, Klaus would die in the next second.

Tessa could feel the sudden spike in the intensity of the scene, she finally understood why these military units were given special treatment, they were not ordinary people.

She was panicking inside, with Edward's current form, she believed he might end up killing Klaus, she had to stop this fight to save Klaus's life, if Klaus dies it would be her fault.

Tessa took one step to the scene.

Edward launched forward again, this time his movement was three times faster, and the air was creating a whistling sound as he moved closer to strike Klaus.

Klaus noticed Tessa was approaching them, she might end up getting injured because Edward had lost it, his killing instinct had risen to the highest degree, if he doesn't see blood he wouldn't stop, so he would have to end this now in order to save Tessa.

Edward's fist was about to make contact with Klaus's face when Klaus suddenly stepped to the side, before Edward could comprehend the motion, Klaus swiftly moved his hands all over Edward's body, in an instant, Klaus hit Edward lightly on all his pressure point.

Klaus straightened up and Edward collapsed to the ground. Everybody was dumbfounded.

They couldn't believe a mere private defeated a head commander.

Jeremy was at a loss for words, he didn't know what happened, all he saw was Edward falling to the ground.

The Private was supposed to be the one falling to the ground, not the Head commander.

Tessa stopped in her tracks, she was utterly confused. A moment ago, Klaus was in deep trouble. She didn't see him surviving another minute, but just when she decided to step in, he brought his opponent down.

'How did Klaus defeat a Head commander, isn't he a Private, the lowest among the lowest'

Klaus approached Tessa, under the watchful gaze of everybody.

He stopped close to Tessa, Tessa was looking straight into his eyes, she was finding reasons to believe Klaus wasn't the ordinary person that he claimed to be.

If he was truly the lowest among the lowest, how then did he defeat a Head commander, but his badge says otherwise?

The military special units were ranked according to their contribution to the war, by fighting, supplying resources, and information.

If Klaus wasn't an ordinary person in the war, he would've been ranked higher, there wouldn't be a mistake in the ranking, would they?

Klaus was definitely a Private, if there was a mistake it would've been corrected.

How did he defeat a Head Commander, well she doesn't know.

Klaus smiled at Tessa.

"Miss Tessa, I told you to go backward, but here you are, trying to help me I guess, but it would've been a disaster"

Tessa woke up from her staring state, she wanted to say something when she saw Edward behind Klaus, he was holding a dagger and he was already moving it to Klaus's neck.

"Klaus!"

Tessa pushed Klaus out of the way, leaving herself exposed to the incoming dagger.
