Tessa ran away from home to get married to the love of her life, David Winston. On David's birthday, and their three years marriage anniversary, Tessa caught David cheating on her with his childhood friend, Olivia George, a figure from a prestigious family.

‘These people, they have no idea who they are messing with’



David smirked. 

“Tessa is from the countryside, I bet her family are local farmers... She can't do anything. Come to think of it, she never told me anything about her family. Perhaps they are beggars! In the countryside”



Olivia George screamed. 

“Tessa, you will pay for this, I will show you that I am from the George family!”



Olivia's quivering tone was heard. 

“David... I... I... thought you said she is from the countryside, her family are beggars! right? cos what in the devil's name is going on”



Tessa's cheeks raised slowly. 

“I forgot to introduce myself. I am Tessa Wood. From the number one mafia family in the country”



“Tessa, you would be crowned the next heir to the Wood family, but you have to marry somebody from the military, that is your grandfather's last request”

Olivia's heart was pounding heavily as the whole building seemed to be vibrating.

"What is going on here? This isn't what you promised us. We were supposed to torture Tessa as we want and kill her ourselves, but you have denied us the permission to do that, and now you can't even protect your own house!"

Olivia couldn't take it anymore. She was angry with a lot of things, she would've been done with Tessa already, but Tessa was still alive and some goddamn people were outside fighting to come save her.

Lord Hamilton didn't show any sign of response to Olivia's words. He was simply looking at the stairway that leads to the floor.

Several lines appeared on Olivia's forehead seeing Lord Hamilton didn't respond to her words.

"I deserve to know what is happening! We paid you guys a lot of money. If my dad finds out that we are being held against our wishes here, he will inform the government about you guys!"
