Flame and Fury

Alicia stood in front of the full-length mirror, her eyes reflecting both determination and desire. The wedding dress fit her like it was made for her body, each curve accentuated, and every inch radiating the confidence that Marco adored in her. But there was something else in her eyes-something darker, something she only reserved for him.

Marco couldn't help but watch her, his stance rigid and unyielding, but his eyes were like fire-consuming. She turned, feeling his gaze on her, and his intense stare sent a shiver through her. The air between them was charged, electric, and for a moment, it felt like nothing else mattered.

"Do you like it?" Alicia's voice was a soft challenge, her lips curling into a smile.

Marco stepped closer, his chest brushing against her back as he leaned in, his breath hot against her ear. "I don't just like it,Alicia. I need it. I need you." His words were a whisper, but they carried a weight that made her heart race.

Her eyes flicked to his, daring him with an intensity that made his pulse quicken. "Then take me," she muttered, just loud enough for him to hear.

Before she could react, Marco spun her around, his hands gripping her waist firmly.

His lips crashed against hers in a kiss so consuming that it left no room for doubt. She melted into him, her hands trailing down his chest, feeling the taut muscles beneath his shirt. He groaned against her mouth, his fingers tangling in her hair as he pulled her closer.

"I'll have you, Alicia. You're mine. Forever."

His voice was low and rough, and she could feel the raw intensity in every word.

She responded in kind, her hands sliding beneath his shirt, feeling the heat of his skin. Her breath quickened, and she pulled him closer, desperate for the contact. Marco's hands slid to her back, lifting the hem of her dress just enough to tease. He didn't break the kiss, his lips working feverishly against hers, pushing her to the edge of control.

But then-a knock on the door.

They froze. The moment shattered.

"Marco... Alicia... the meeting's about to start," Lorenzo's voice came from the other side, calm, but with an edge of impatience.

Marco cursed under his breath, pulling away with obvious difficulty. Alicia could see the desire still burning in his eyes, but his resolve was as strong as ever. "This isn't over," he whispered to her, his voice thick with promise.

As he turned to leave, Alicia's eyes followed him. A smile tugged at her lips-this fire between them, it was just beginning.

Lorenzo's POV

Lorenzo stood outside the door, his expression unreadable. He'd been there for the entire scene-his own frustration building with each passing second. He was supposed to be the one to control things, but Marco... Marco always had this effect on everyone, especially Alicia.

The betrayal that had once seemed like a distant memory suddenly didn't seem so far away anymore. Watching them together, feeling the heat emanating from that room, Lorenzo felt something stir inside him. It wasn't just jealousy-it was powerlessness. He had once been Marco's closest ally, but now, as Alicia stood at the center of it all, he was a spectator.

It was difficult, standing in the shadow of their love. They were perfect together, but in a way that hurt. And Lorenzo could feel his grip slipping-not just on the power he once had, but on the control over his own emotions. He was supposed to be the mastermind, the one pulling the strings. But now, it seemed like he was just another pawn in a game he could no longer understand.

"This won't end like you think," he muttered to himself, the words barely a whisper. "And I'll make sure of it."

Later, in the conference room, Marco and Alicia sat beside each other, their chemistry undeniable even in the presence of others. The board members gathered around, all eyes on them as the meeting began, but neither of them could focus. The tension between them lingered, palpable, just beneath the surface.

Lorenzo stood at the back of the room, his eyes locked on Marco, studying his every move. The plan was simple, and yet, with every passing moment, it seemed more complicated. The relationship between Marco and Alicia was becoming an obstacle -a complication he didn't know how to navigate.

But he would. He always did.

"You two make a great power couple," Lorenzo said later in the meeting, his voice calmed but his eyes sharp. "But don't forget that power comes with a price. And sometimes, it's more than just loyalty that's tested."
