The Dawn of the Awakened

At a critical moment, humanity found itself embroiled in an unprecedented and terrifying war. They fought against monstrous beasts and terrifying creatures that seemed to harbor an innate hatred for humanity. Wherever they appeared, they brought calamities filled with death and despair. Thousands of people struggled to protect their loved ones or simply to survive. Despite the fear that consumed them, something inside drove them to keep fighting until their last breath.

Perhaps witnessing how these beings treated humanity like cattle, reveling in massacring humans and delighting in devouring them, ignited an unquenchable flame in the survivors' hearts. They couldn't bear to see their loved ones devoured and humanity annihilated. So they continued to fight with all their might.

After fifteen years of relentless battle, humanity was cornered. With no other options, they were forced to relocate to a newly emerged continent called Arkon. This place became their last safe refuge. However, the crisis persisted. The beasts and terrifying creatures continued to press, determined to exterminate humans from the face of the earth.

In Arkon, researchers studied those beings who had collapsed at some point for unknown reasons. After years of analysis, they reached a conclusion: these individuals were not dead but in a state of dormancy. Although they didn't know exactly why, one thing was certain: they were not deceased.

A powerful explosion shook the entire city of Arkon, right in the area where the last defense force of humanity was stationed. This group consisted of the remaining survivors from the countries that once existed, now reduced to rubble. On the walls of Arkon, some soldiers kept watch, while others discussed how to survive the crisis. Among them, a young 15-year-old soldier listened to the conversations with a mix of disappointment and determination. Despite fatigue and dwindling hope, his sole desire was to protect his little sister, who awaited him eagerly.

"Kai Ardent," have you finished placing the ammunition according to regulations? The young man carrying the ammunition cart jumped at the sound of his superior's voice. He had been lost in thought, but when he turned around, he faced a scene that chilled his heart. The captain, about to reprimand him, also fell silent upon seeing what lay ahead.

Beyond the walls, about 10 kilometers away, an immense army of indescribable beasts stretched out. Some were so enormous that they measured up to 3,000 meters in height. Creatures of such magnitude had never been seen before. But that wasn't all. Among them, as if drawn from legend or anime, stood dragons. Not mythological dragons, but distinct beings: some resembling lizards, others serpents. However, they all shared colossal size and a terrifying aura that could be felt even from this distance.

The soldiers on the walls felt unprecedented terror. Humanity seemed destined to vanish. The order came to raise the wall shields and launch the last bombs developed after years of research. These bombs, specifically designed to combat the beasts, were hurled with a deafening roar. In less than a minute, they struck the approaching creatures.

But then, an enormous roar shook the soldiers. A flying beast emerged from the explosion, moving at terrifying speed. In just 60 seconds, it was upon the walls. It opened its massive mouth, filled with razor-sharp teeth, and spewed a fireball that shattered the protective barrier.

Humanity teetered on the abyss, and the battle had only just begun.

The soldiers, stunned by the rapid turn of events, had no time to react. They trusted the shield would withstand any impact, but when they saw it disintegrate under the beasts' fiery breath, they were paralyzed. Yet this was only the beginning. Deafening roars echoed, and thousands of winged creatures assaulted the walls, tearing through everything in their path. Soldiers were thrown off defenses or torn apart by explosions. Some were even devoured by the lunging beasts.

Kai Ardent, hidden among the rubble, fought to escape. Panic flooded him as he listened to his comrades' agonized cries. There was no escape; humanity stood on the brink of extinction. Despite their efforts and newly developed weapons, it all seemed futile.

Heavy footsteps shook the ground. One of the monsters, dragon-like, approached where Kai hid. He stared into the beast's red eyes without fear. Terror had transformed into a fierce desire to fight to the death. Regret weighed on him for not fulfilling the promise to his loved ones. "Father, mother," he thought, "I regret not being able to keep the promise I made to you."

With difficulty, he raised his spear and aimed at the beast. He shouted with all his might, "Come, beast! I'll take you with me!" But when the sharp teeth closed in to devour him, time seemed to freeze. The jaws never reached him. Opening his eyes, he saw the back of a tall, robust man, dressed only in pants. An indescribable sensation emanated from him.

The beast remained, but half its body seemed torn apart by a meteorite. The man turned toward Kai with a smile and asked, "Are you all right?" The stranger's face and aura left Kai astonished. He stammered, "Wh-who are you?"

The man pondered for a moment and finally replied, "My name is…" 🌟

Only five minutes had passed since the beasts invaded the city of Arkon. The humans, previously in a dormant state, had been studied by scientists. Surprisingly, these individuals began to change. The scientists and experts in charge didn't realize until, in an instant, they rose and vanished. They reappeared precisely where the beasts ravaged the city, tearing apart those humans who hadn't made it to the shelters in time.

These humans were no longer ordinary. During their state of inactivity, they seemed to be in a coma, devoid of apparent vitality. However, they remained aware of what was happening in the world. Over the years, they realized that something had changed within them. They felt a power gradually growing within their bodies. Despite this, they couldn't fully awaken. They only heard a voice mentioning: "Synchronization in progress, 88% complete." Initially, they didn't understand its meaning, but eventually, they concluded that reaching 100% would allow them to emerge from their vital inactivity.

Undoubtedly, it was during that desperate moment for humanity, when they believed they stood on the brink of extinction, that these individuals awakened. They became the beings who appeared to free humanity from the crisis it faced. Thus began the dawn of the Awakened and the onset of vital cultivation for humanity.
