Chapter 75

Sebastian's heart ached whenever he remembered that scene. He already had suicidal thoughts after Winter's death, and the only thing stopping him was his mother.

Despite being a victim of her abuse since childhood, he still couldn't kick Camilla out of his life.

There was an unhealthy dependency between them, and Sebastian struggled to make a swift decision whenever Winter begged him to stop Camilla from bullying her.

He was afraid of hurting the single mother who had raised him. She might've abused him, punched and kicked him many times on top of verbally abusing him. But it had been embedded in his mind that Camilla was his only family, and he didn't want to lose her.

Sebastian finally gained clarity after he shot himself in the chest. In those few seconds of consciousness before he died, all he could think of was Winter and the warmth she brought.

Winter had never hurt him.

Winter had never verbally abused him.
