Cindy gritted her teeth.

She knew this woman wouldn't just let her go after what happened yesterday. It was a major oversight on her side because she didn't expect Winter to suddenly barge in and ruin the perfect lie she crafted to get Iris kicked out. 

Now, she had to face the repercussions, and it was far from pleasant. 

She wished that she could turn back time, and stop herself from slandering Iris at that time. She would rather wait until she was truly all alone with Sebastian—maybe in his bedroom—before persuading him to kick Iris out. 

"I'm so sorry, Iris. I didn't know what went wrong with my head yesterday," Cindy said as she suppressed her pride. She would never apologize, not when she was the one wronged yesterday. But Camilla told her to act nice no matter what. "If I can make it up to you somehow…"

Iris sighed.
