Chapter 43: Cultivation

The rug Amrit was using had a spirit energy gathering array engraved because Keshab was bored and added an array to everything he saw. He had destroyed many tables, chairs, pots, and utensils because the ordinary materials couldn't handle the power of the engraved arrays. He had just broken through second-grade high-tier array master and was in high spirits. Since the clan didn't have inheritance above that stage, he had to improvise and experiment. So he engraved arrays on everything he saw because the longer it went, the funnier it became. He even went as far as to trap the clan elders in illusion arrays and made them do embarrassing things. It was only after Kumari made him engrave arrays near the herbs did he stopped because it was no longer funny. And he was afraid that Kumari would make him engrave arrays on every plant in the clan area.

After sitting in a cross-legged position on the rug, Amrit closed his eyes and began to revisit the difference in his body after he had had the realization. When he was asleep he already had improvement in terms of senses, after he had realization, his cultivation had improved. But after pondering for a while he found the changes had little to do with the rest and realization, he knew there was some improvement but couldn't put his finger on where he had improved. He thought for a while and decided to put his questions to rest since it was a positive improvement and he would find out about it when his cultivation realm improved. So he closed his mind and started meditating. Mediating for a while and emptying the mind before circulating the cultivation technique will improve cultivation speed a little as having unnecessary thoughts will only serve as distractions that hinder cultivation.

While cultivating, a cultivator first makes a small circulation, after a few small circulations, a big circulation is completed and it improves the cultivation. The number of small circulations depended on the cultivation technique. Superior techniques required more small circulations than the subpar techniques. Some of the weakest cultivation techniques required only one or two small circulations making the processed spiritual energy impure and making the cultivator weak. The more the small circulations, the purer the spiritual energy processed thus making the cultivator strong. This was why cultivation was a tedious process and made the starting point of cultivation a bit difficult. To make a few small circulations without taking a break made cultivation harder for those who had just started. Thus, most of the cultivators emptied their minds before cultivating so there would be no distractions before big circulation.

There were eight greater meridians, a few hidden meridians, sixty-four lesser meridians, and 4096 small meridians. The eight greater meridians connected with eight lesser meridians each and each lesser meridian was connected to sixty-four small meridians. The hidden meridians were located outside the body and they were present in the form of a concept. They were only important in higher levels of cultivation. At a lower level, their presence made no difference. As for the small meridians, they were connected to each other and other parts of a cultivator's body with capillaries.

The capillaries were countless and ever-present. These capillaries were the smallest biological entity in the cultivator's bodies, even smaller than the cells. They were pretty much everywhere and they connected every part of the cultivator and helped transport the spirit energy all over the body, whether from outside or within. This was the difference between the body of a cultivator and people from the Earth. As for the presence of spirit energy in the nature, who knows?

Amrit's cultivation technique requirements for a big circulation were thirty-six small circulations whereas the Lesser Battle Sutra of Mountain only required nine. Although time-consuming, this cultivation technique was what made Amrit stronger. His cultivation technique improved Qi, body, and soul all at once. So when he breaks through the major realms, he will get a comprehensive upgrade. Amrit started cultivating the $@#$^@! Asura Divine cultivation technique and completed a small circulation. The spiritual energy in the surroundings moved towards Amrit and went inside his body all the way to big meridians.

When Amrit circulated the cultivation technique, it was the capillaries that sucked the spiritual energy from the surroundings. As he was cultivating, Amrit was shocked because his speed was almost thirty percent faster than before and it was even more smooth. It felt like the cultivation technique was gradually becoming easier and more attuned to him as if it was tailor-made for him. He was stunned for a moment and the small circulation broke. He didn't know what the improvement was before but now it felt like his talent for cultivation was further improved. But he still felt this was not all, there was still something missing. He became happy for a moment but Amrit decided not to ponder more on this. He emptied his mind and started cultivating. It didn't matter what was the improvement as long as it helped him to become stronger.

The moon started rising from the horizon and the gradually falling dusk had turned a little brighter with silver luster. When Amrit completed a big circulation, his cultivation improved a little. He opened his eyes and sighed a little. Even with his improved cultivation talent, it will take a while to reach the thirteenth stage. His breakthroughs before were rapid and easy, he didn't even have to try but from now on without luck, it will only get harder. But he was sure, he would increase his realm faster than his peers. He didn't know where this confidence came from, he was just sure. He then looked through the window and into the pond where the moonlight was reflected. After coming to this world this was the first time he had peered outside and looked at the moonlight. He had memory about the night sky in the cultivation world from his previous shelf but he had somehow just bypassed the knowledge. Before today he hadn't thought about the celestial bodies that could be seen. He had seen the clear blue sky mixed with little purple and the setting of the sun which covered everything in golden hue. But this was the first time he had peered into the night. When he looked outside at the pond, he was shocked.
