Chapter 51: Mnemosyne (2)

RENNNNK

The rusty hinges of the wooden door creaked as it was pushed open. The wind blew through the old house, whose windows were closed, stirring up the dust that had accumulated on the floor.

"Looks abandoned?" Matheus observed.

"Are we even in the right place?"

"I think so, look over there," he pointed.

A sword was displayed, hanging just above the unlit fireplace. The rooms on the first floor were practically all connected, allowing them to see the entire space.

"The boy said the man used to be an adventurer… I mean, it's a clue," he explained. "What are the chances of finding another ex-guild member living on the same path?"

"Living…? I'm not sure anyone actually lives here…"

The inside of the house seemed practically untouched. Except for a chair that was knocked over, everything appeared organized and in its place.
