Chapter 60: End of a Journey

"Sir Li?" The boy slowly opened his eyes.

The magic was gradually leaving Ceb's body, allowing his consciousness to awaken.

"You're awake? How are you feeling?"

"Better... I think..." he replied in a weak, tired voice. "I'm just so tired..."

"Don't worry about that. The effects of the magic haven't fully worn off yet."

"Magic?"

"I'm sorry, kid. We had to put you to sleep; it was the only way to protect you."

Ceb thought for a moment, but it didn't take long for him to understand.

"You believed me... I believe in you too..."

Despite his words, he seemed hesitant to ask what he really wanted to know. Perhaps, by believing in Li, he was afraid of the answer.

"He's fine," said Jihan. The boy looked into his eyes. "Your father, his name is Jonas, right? He's fine."
