Aiden Target

Aiden was practicing his earth affinity, thinking about trying to get the the next Star level when the door bell rang.

He looked down to his ID and saw that Lucas hadn't said anything about Jake's gang not being anywhere near the door.

Even so, Lucas would still be able to enter because this was his dorm room.

That only meant that who was at the door was probably someone else.

The bell rang two more times before stopping.

Ignoring that, Aiden went back to training his affinity.

….

….

….

Three weeks later.

Aiden had started going back to the classes as it looked like the coast was clear.

Jake's gang hadn't come up to him for a while.

Seems like they completely forgot about it.

Aiden sighed in a bit of relief.

When Lucas, Emma, and Roseline were at Core Weapons class, he was at Earth Affinity Class.

Because the military offers the earth affinity to those how don't have it, they made a class so that they had the chance to grow.

Every once and a while, a genius in the earth element would appear and grow tremendously under the help of the military.

Because the military gave out the earth element for free, those of the Earth Affinity class were around the same social class.

It's because of the earth affinity books that many low class people come to the military.

The military had quite the debt to the earth affinity.

The teacher of the class was watching the progress of the students work by having them build a small smooth cube within a time limit.

It couldn't have any sort of bumps.

Aiden was focusing his most on the surprise test and had finished halfway by 30 minutes.

The test was an hour long, as the more dense you could make the small cube, the better.

One of the requirements for the test grade was the they shouldn't be able to pick it up with normal human strength.

They also couldn't physically grab the rock, the student's only way of getting them was through using mana.

It was a test of their affinities capacities.

The room smelled a bit sweaty because of the amount of energy and mana being used was exhausting their bodies and making it sweat.

Small pieces of rock flew to the half-finished cube and put itself in a place that slowly form around it.

That piece started to compress itself into the form that Aiden had desired.

In this case it was one side being completely flat while the rest had groves and little dents so that the next rock could fit, like a puzzle piece.

5, 15, 29 minutes passed until the students only have 1 minutes left to finish the cube.

Aiden's cube was only missing one last part and was going to get one last rock when the piece of earth he was targeting was snatched by someone else.

He didn't mind that and went for another one but that one was also taken by the same person.

That kept going until the last few seconds when the person stopped doing that and Aiden finally got one.

'No…'

He had to rush the forming around the cube.

Using even more of his mana, he tried to make the process faster.

16 seconds.

The rock connected with the cubes last spot.

10 seconds.

The rocks outer layer started to turn into a liquid like consistency, filling in the cracks.

5 seconds.

A few small openings were still there.

Aiden used the rest of whatever was left of the liquid rock to fill them in as best as he could.

1 second.

The last opening was filled and the tiny timer on the teacher's desk rang.

**Ring Ring~**

Aiden stopped there.

'Ah, I somehow did it…'

Since he became a 1 Star, the bulling had stopped for the most part.

But it seemed that there were still people that wanted to see him fall.

Aiden sighed and got up slightly keeping his head down from habit.

As he was walking, he got a message from Lucas in his ID.

You wanna try sparing for practice?

'Does he seriously think an earth affinity awaken can fight?'

Regardless, he still said yes.

Remembering that time back when he was infront of the drake, feeling helpless, he wanted to change that part of him.

So he headed over to the arena that Lucas was at.

Entering, Aiden saw a view that he hadn't seen before.

Despite being here for a while now, he refused to go to the arena.

It was only now that he had actually entered one.

He looked for Lucas when a few people came up to him.

Aiden's eyes widen in shock as he recognized them.

"Looks who's out of their box."

Jake's lackeys had come for him.

He had thought that they had given up.

The reason being that Jake had lackeys in the Earth Affinity class as well but in the past three weeks, they had done anything.

He realized he had let his guard down.

Aiden continued to look for Lucas with his eyes while facing the people.

"Jake wants to see you."

"F-for what?"

One of them frowned and said. "Are you acting dumb?"

Aiden became silent.

His ID shoke and Lucas had sent another message.

Shoot, I forgot something back at the dorm. Wait a moment aiden! —

'Ah.'

He was screwed.

Aiden was to weak to deal with any of them and so he could only follow.

The lackeys had surrounded him on all four side and walked him to dorm building 2.

They walked up to floor 8.

People are rarely ever even allowed to walk the top four floors, only being for V.I.P. or important people of the military and great families.

Opening the dorm door to the 4th one, what came in sight was a pretty dark room with a desk, plenty of different cameras, and a computer used to watch the footage.

Jake was sitting down on the chair infront of the computer, the chairs back facing Aiden.

The chair turned hearing the door open and Jake's eyes met with Aiden's.

"You're finally here, rat."

Aiden stiffen when he heard those words.
