The Four Groups

Lelia stuffed herself in several books related to time.

But Defoe she knew it, she was already done with all of them.

There was just too little information about time.

And none of them told her anything that could help her figure out the nature of the count down.

Lelia was stumped.

'Just where?'

There wasn't anyone that she had found that currently had the Time affinity or any information about it.

'Maybe the Time affinity isn't related to it… Then what else?'

Lelia got back up again and looked for all books related to mechanical knowledge.

It was a gear, perhaps it was once part of a large machine.

But if it is, just what is it's purpose?

This time, she found many books.

Exactly 46 books.

'Ah, this may take a long time… guess I'll start with the beginner's books, it'll be hard for me to understand the machine without knowing what each part does.'

As so, Lelia was once again glued to the library's chair until curfew.

The thousands of students from the base were gather into a large room with a stage.

This was the place in which they would decide if they should go to military base 4.

5 from each year were going to be chosen to go.

Most of the teachers were standing on the stage, with Raven being at the front.

**Clap**

All of the students quiet down and turned their heads to look at her.

Raven looked down and scanned the students faces bfore speaking up.

"You are all here to see if you'll be chosen to go to military base 4. Since everyone has become quiet, I will now say who will come."

Raven took a tablet from one of the teachers and looked at it, saying the names present.

"First years. Leila Ashley, Roseline Hart, Emma West, Aiden Whitlock, and Lucas Spade."

"Second years. Oscar Blackwell, Iris WhiteHeart, …"

"Third years. Rachel Hill, …"

"Fourth years. Catherine Blaine, Bruce Walker, …"

As Raven called them, they all went up to the stage.

Roseline felt that her being in the same group as them couldn't be a coincidence.

And she was right, the military did this on purpose after seeing that the group somehow survived the canyon.

They took into consideration about all of the chosen students strengths and weaknesses.

After that, some of the teachers went down to open the doors and let the students out.

Raven talked to the ones chosen.

"The military will give you one day to prepare. Use it wisely. Base 4 is very cold, make sure to keep that in mind."

She told them a few more things before getting them to leave.

"Make sure to come back here tomorrow at the same time."

Roseline immediately disbursed herself from the group, thinking to herself.

'Gods, not another group trip…'

Emma went to go train, and Lelia, Aiden, and Lucas chatted together.

Iris brought over another second year to where the rest of the first years were.

"Hey Iris, you don't have to drag me over. I can walk you know…"

"Shush."

The man rolled his eyes.

He had black hair and gray eyes, quite skinny too.

They looked like polar opposites.

Iris got to them and looked at Lelia.

"You must be Lelia, right? Lucas had talked about you before."

Lelia got a bit flustered in front of the second year student.

"Oh uh- yeah. Excuse me, but I don't really have hear of you from Lucas…"

Iris frowned and looked at Lucas dead in the eyes.

"She's Iris WhiteHeart. A friend of mine."

"WhiteHeart, from that great family?"

Iris turned her attention back to Lelia.

"Oh, yeah. My brother is here as an assistant too. I don't really talk to him nowadays though."

Iris pointed towards the man behind her and introduced him.

"This is Oscar, he's reliable."

"That's it? That's all I am to you?"

"Yeah."

Oscar sighed and the group each said hello to him.

"I came over here to talk to you guys a bit about base 4, I know a bit more about it."

"That would be greatly appreciated Iris." Lucas said.

She gave a nod to him as continued.

"Base 4 is cold, because well, they are responsible for all of the northern parts of earth, not including QuietFrost Mountains. That place is way closer to us than it is to them."

"I'm pretty sure when we get there we'll be meeting with Jasper Blake, the one highest in command over there. Not sure what is rank in the military itself is though, it's probably major general like Mr. Reese."

"Do you know why we're going over there anyways?" Lelia asked.

"Not sure, I haven't hear anything about what the issue might be. Could be top secret."

Aiden's and Lelia's interest were tickled from hearing that.

"Ah well, we should go and find what we need.

Come on."

The group followed Iris and they went shopping at SilverStream.

….

Roseline had her bag ready with some basic stuff while the rest was in her shadow.

She was with the first year group waiting for Raven to come and open that door.

They had gotten here early, so the other groups weren't here either.

Lucas brought Emma into whatever they were discussing and Roseline heard a bit about it from afar.

Roseline herself was busy looking through the System shop to see if there was anything useful she could buy, with her limited free stats of course.

But when it comes to a cold environment, the shop didn't have much to help.

Only some objects that could bring warmth and dry food, the rest was too expensive for her.

Multiple foot steps were heard and everyone looked up to see Raven coming through.

"Looks like you first years are here early."

Raven opened the doors and had everyone walk in.

They waited for the rest of the groups to come over which didn't take more than 5 minutes.

With everyone here, they could finally head over to military base 4.
