Chapter 141:Players 1

Sitting in the circular room, Noah made the Boosted Gear appear in his hand and spoke to Ddraig for a moment before the red armor covered his entire body.

"Well mate, how are you feeling?"

"Hmmm...somehow I feel freer, more...stronger."

"That's normal, the Draconic Deus universe is one of those rare universes that despite its minuscule size, its power and laws are more restrictive than other larger universes."

"Draconic Deus...is that the name of my original universe?"

"Yes, but it's better known as the DxD universe.

Well, let's put that aside. Ready for evolution?"

Noah pulled out a blue orb and smiled before bringing it closer to the green orb over his right hand.

"Let's do it!"

The green orb swallowed the blue orb and the red armor began to change completely.

Parts of the armor turned white while two blue wings made of energy grew on its back.

Now that it was no longer under the control of the system that controlled and restricted the Sacred Gears, the Boosted Gear was able to evolve without interruption, becoming something new.

In the original story, after Issei fused the Divine Dividing orb into his Boosted Gear, it half-evolved, acquiring some of the Divine Dividing's powers.

But because this created an anomaly, the system wanted to eliminate this anomaly so it separated the new gauntlet from the rest of the Boosted Gear to destroy it but as a result, a new Sacred Gear was born that combined the abilities of the Divine Dividing and the Boosted Gear, but with weaker power, although it possessed greater potential.

Noah was inspired by this idea to evolve the Boosted Gear....

"Booster Divider!"

Even Ddraig's soul began to mutate, acquiring a trace of white colors on his scales.

Finished evolving, the armor retracted, becoming a red gauntlet with white patterns on its surface.

"Success!"

"Haha! I feel refreshed!"

"Well, it's not time to celebrate yet, why don't you test the range of your new power?"

"Eh? What do you have in mind?"

Noah explained his plan to Ddraig.

"You really think we'll be able to pull it off?"

"Yeah, besides, you'll have an assistant."

Noah let Beginning step out of the floating continent.

In his human form he had the appearance of a blond teenager with golden eyes and white wings on his back.

Noah severed his connection with the new Booster Divider and handed him to the dragon of the beginning to integrate with him before explaining his plan.

"I think that would be a workable plan."

"Well then, you can leave immediately.

Since you're a rank eight being, you'll have no problem completing your mission on your own."

Beginning nodded and disappeared, leaving only Noah in the subway room.

After some thought, Noah went to a random mountain in a secluded location and created a residence right there before entering the floating continent and using his time dilation ability.

He was going into seclusion to carry out his next project, upgrading Nexus.

...

Inside the infirmary of the demonic academy, Yeo Woon lay asleep on a bed.

He injured himself this morning during the academy admission test so that no one would suspect that he, someone without internal energy, had managed to pass an assessment that required him to defend himself using internal energy.

Because of the pact his mother signed with the six clans, Yeo Woon was forbidden to practice martial arts and cultivate internal energy.

Vomiting a large mouthful of blood and making the testers believe that he passed this test with sheer determination was the best idea he could come up with at the time.

By this time it was already night and his self-inflicted internal wound was already healed by Nano, now he just had to pretend and wait for the next two weeks to pass.

Bang! Bang!

"Doctor Baek! A new patient!"

The doctor in charge of this infirmary put the book he was reading aside and hurried to open the door.

"Patient!? Where!?"

Doctor Baek let in the two instructors who were carrying a stretcher on which an unconscious black-haired young man was lying.

"Wonderful! Day one and already my second patient has come! As expected from the demonic academy!"

Dr. Baek looked at the new patient with an elated face and instructed the instructors to place him on the bed next to Yeo Woon.

The instructors said their goodbyes and quickly left the infirmary, not wanting to be next to this crazy doctor for another second.

"Let's see...a stab wound to the belly..."

Dr. Baek moved closer to the young man's exposed wound and examined it carefully.

At that moment, the young man suddenly opened his eyes and his gaze was riveted on Dr. Baek.

His right eye looked normal but his left eye was quite the opposite.

It had a blood-red pupil and a completely black sclera, with only a few red veins visible on its surface.

Dr. Baek did not realize the impending danger and before he could even understand what happened, a blood-red tentacle pierced his skull.

A mixture of blood, brain matter and bones flew everywhere, splattering the young man's body and lightly splashing Yeo Woon who was lying on his side.

Yeo Woon suddenly opened his eyes wide but it was too late.

Five red tentacles coiled over his body and bound him tightly.

Nano frantically tried to send out electric pulses to attack the attacker but to no avail.

Yeo Woon frantically thought of a way to escape as he watched the young man standing in front of him.

Six red tentacles extended from his back, the last one still embedded in Dr. Baek's skull.

The young attacker looked at the holographic screen in front of him with a wide grin as anticipation and excitement swept over him.

"Name: Ishida Sato.

Hidden mission: Kill the protagonist.

-Duration of the mission: no limit.

As the young Sato fantasized, his enhanced Ghoul senses warned him of someone's arrival.

He quickly removed the last tentacle from Instructor Baek's head and used it to pierce Yeo Woon's chest.

Blood spilled everywhere as Yeo Woon's heart burst into pieces.

The tentacle embedded in his chest opened at its tip, revealing a grotesque mouth that began to devour Yeo Woon's internal organs and blood.

"BAM!"

The glass window exploded as a misaligned-looking man burst into the room.

The man looked confused for a moment at the sight of Sato's tentacles but quickly recovered and drew his saber and slashed at unimaginable speed.

One of Sato's tentacles tried to block the attack but it was useless and the tentacle was cut in half.

"Aaaaarg!"

Sato screamed in pain and threw Yeo Woon's dead body aside before glaring at the man with hatred.

What was left of the severed tentacle retracted once more behind his back and Sato immediately began to run, jumping out another window and hurtling towards the forest at full speed, helping himself with his other five tentacles to climb between the trees.

...

Noah spent an entire year inside his lab but outside he barely spent less than a day.

"Beep!

Nexus 2.0 successfully initiated."

Noah smiled broadly.

With the various technologies he obtained from his travels, he managed to upgrade Nexus into a much more powerful and efficient version than the previous model.

Leaving the floating continent, Noah stepped out of the mountain residence and deployed his divine sense to see how things were going inside the demonic academy.

But suddenly, he frowned.

He saw a man with a saber chasing a strange guy who was running away from the place at full speed.

When he saw him, Noah frowned even more.

The man had five crimson tentacles swinging on his back and helping him climb trees and his face was covered by some kind of human skin mask that hid his true appearance.

Noah checked the place where those two came from and what he saw surprised him.

The protagonist of this story, Cheon Yeo Woon, was lying on the ground, completely dead.

Noah noticed that his chest was punctured and his internal organs and blood were pulled out by something.

He quickly had his willpower thoroughly scan Yeo Woon's body and when he noticed that the nano machines in his body were removed, a thoughtful look appeared on his face.

Arching an eyebrow, Noah refocused on the fleeing guy and watched him run at full speed into the depths of the forest before jumping into a tree.

Then he pulled out a scroll and unfolded it.

His entire body merged with the tree trunk and could no longer be easily detected.

Arching an eyebrow with even more curiosity about this guy, Noah decided to keep watching him.

The man carrying the saber searched for the trail left by the young man but seeing that the trail was cut off he became frustrated and wanted to go crazy.

In the end, he simply sighed helplessly before returning inside the academy.

The seventh prince was killed on the first day of the academy, just when he wanted to take him as his personal disciple.

This matter had to be reported to the cult leader as soon as possible.

On the other hand, Sato did not move and remained motionless in place.

"Ding! Hidden mission complete: kill the protagonist."

"You are rewarded with a thousand points and a random C-rank item."

"Last time I got the gourmet cells, I wonder what I'll get this time."

Sato was excited.

He used the roulette that appeared on his holographic screen.

The roulette spun for a while before the item he obtained was revealed.

"Pet: Eevee."

"..."

"What a crappy prize!"

Sato cursed his bad luck.

He killed a protagonist and gained access to a random treasure but this prize was too mediocre.

Pets like these were sold everywhere in Light Tower for relatively low prices.

This Eevee was of little use to him in his opinion.

One could only have a single creature as a pet that would be recognized by the Light Tower.

Bonding with this Eevee would be a complete waste.

"Sigh, I guess I'll sell it later at the store."

Putting his frustration aside, Sato focused on the main mission in front of him.

Class promotion mission: martial artist.

-Description: Obtain the heavenly demonic sword belonging to the former heavenly demon, Cheon Ma.

-Duration of the mission: one month.

-Reward: Class change to the second rank class: martial artist.

Sato's frustration only increased further as he didn't know how to approach this issue.

He knew that sword was something he could not come into contact with with his current status.

Until he reached the final tests, he would not have access to that location.

To access the location where that sword was kept, he needed to spend at least about three to four years training and cultivating.

In order to train and cultivate martial arts properly, he needed to have the Martial Artist class.

And to get that damn class he needed that sword.

This dead-end loop almost made him go crazy with frustration, not to mention that on top of all that, he didn't have enough time, he only had a month to get that sword.

Suddenly, without him even being able to react, his whole body went rigid for a moment before disappearing from his previous place.

He appeared in front of another young man that he recognized as another newcomer like him.

But what he couldn't understand was how such a young newcomer had so much power that he could make him appear in an instant in front of him.

Noah more or less understood what this guy was after observing him for a while and to be cautious, he simply kidnapped a random boy before occupying his soul with a will seed, turning him into a puppet and then sent this puppet to meet this guy.
