Here, the student departments of the three dormitory buildings were all leaning over the railings to watch the spectacle, creating a magnificent sight.
Zoe's hair flowed freely, standing still while holding Luna's arm. Her eyes were momentarily lost.
Everyone was staring at Zoe, the boys whistling, the girls envying and hating, and many others taking out their phones to capture the moment. This was a big news item.
The student union president, Young Master Nick, had just been slapped and dumped at the beginning of the semester. Yet, before the semester ended, he was using such a vulgar yet romantic tactic of roses to pursue an older self-study student...
It was simply headline news.
Nick took a few steps forward, crouched on the stairs, and reached out to Zoe, his eyes scanning her face inch by inch under the streetlight. "Hmm? Answer me, do you like it?"
Luna nudged her arm, and Zoe came back to her senses, looking down at Nick.
His wristwatch-adorned hand was spread out towards her.
Occasional gasps and whispered discussions sounded.
This was probably the ideal pursuit method every girl dreamed of, but for Zoe, this tactic was something she had invented...
That damn Nick.
After a silent stare lasting a few seconds, Zoe pushed away his hand.
Her heart was beating fast, and her eyes felt hot for no apparent reason, but her face remained expressionless. Nick looked at her, his eyes scanning over her hand that had reached out and pushed away his.
The boy arched his eyebrows, waiting for her next move with incredible patience.
Zoe bent down and suddenly leaned close to him.
Nick's eyes narrowed dangerously...
Zoe looked at this now more mature and sharper face and said, "Don't waste your effort, Nick. I'm already bored with your tricks..."
In other words, I'm not moved, I'm not interested, I just find it boring and tacky.
Nick's eyes cooled a few degrees, then he smirked mischievously, "Really?"
"But I find it novel, and I have even newer tricks."
Saying that, Nick reached out and grabbed Zoe's neck, fiercely blocking her red lips with his own.
It had hovered in front of him for too long, long enough for the beast inside him to yearn to bite, block, and kiss it, ravaging it madly.
That rosy lip.
Screams echoed from behind and above.
Luna and the other two were completely stunned.
Zoe's knees went weak, and Nick caught her around the waist, sitting down on the stairs, tightly pressing her neck, and tilting his head back to ravenously plunder the sweetness in her mouth. His eyes were filled with greed and surging desire...
Zoe was kissed so hard that tears streamed down the corners of her eyes.
She couldn't think.
She felt pain, her lips hurt so much...
"Nick, you fucking bastard!"
A red Porsche Cayenne sped in, brutally crushing the scattered petals on the ground. The onlookers were startled by the commotion and quickly moved aside.
The car door opened, and Leo emerged with anger, walking towards Zoe who was being held tightly by Nick, unable to move, and Nick who was kissing her tightly with his eyes closed.
Luna and Stella reacted, exchanged glances, and followed suit, reaching out to help Zoe free herself.
With Leo's male strength, Zoe was finally pulled out. She fell into Luna's arms, trembling, her lips broken and tasting blood.
Leo grabbed Nick's collar.
Nick licked his lips and pushed Leo's hand away.
Leo naturally wouldn't let go, and the two brothers locked eyes again. Nick, satisfied after kissing, looked lazy and asked Leo in a low voice, "Want to fight?"
Leo glanced at Zoe in Luna's arms. Zoe's face was pale, looking very pitiful.
Leo's face hardened: "Fight."
Before he finished speaking, a punch flew towards Nick's lips. Nick snorted and dodged, grabbing Leo's fist with one hand and pushing him away.
The battle spread.
Finally, the dormitory manager ran over.
"What's going on here!"
Taking advantage of the situation, Luna hugged Zoe's waist and took her upstairs quickly.
Stella and Ellie followed closely, leaving the rest of the matter unattended.
Back in the dormitory, Zoe's complexion finally improved somewhat.
She sat on the bed, covering her face, feeling pain in her neck, back, lips, and a numbness in her tongue...
Stella and Ellie entered the room, not knowing what to say, sitting silently.
Luna went to the bathroom, took Zoe's towel, dipped it in hot water, and came out to sit on Zoe's bed. She pulled Zoe's hand away and wiped her lips clean.
Zoe finally came back to her senses and looked at Luna.
Luna patted her face, "Are you okay?"
Zoe hesitated and shook her head.
Seeing that Zoe was finally feeling better, Ellie said, "Nick is really scary. I felt like he wanted to swallow Zoe whole."
Stella peeled an orange and said, "He seemed so calm and indifferent usually, but he turned out to be so aggressive."
Ellie nodded in agreement.
Zoe, however, felt a lingering sense of dread.
She thought.
She shouldn't have provoked Nick.
During high school, she had witnessed many of his incidents, including fights that occurred not less than ten times. Back then, he really was the kind to hit hard.
Luna said, "He's very domineering, Zoe. You have to be careful."
They had all been in society and while they were shocked and intrigued by such scenes, they were more concerned about practical issues.
Unlike the students on campus, who watched it like a drama and were now holding their phones, watching the video of Nick kissing Zoe, envying and hating, wishing to be treated the same way... looking at Nick.
The girls watched the scene like it was a drama starring a handsome male lead in a romance show. Except for the bitten and bleeding lips, Zoe felt pain in other parts but didn't have any visible bruises when she examined her clothes.
Zoe made a mental decision not to provoke Nick anymore... but what about his pursuit?
"Do you guys want to come out and watch?
Leo and Nick are fighting on the basketball court."
The window of the dormitory was knocked twice, and a girl from the neighboring dormitory asked outside.
Luna replied, "No."
The girl nodded and didn't disturb them anymore. But she actually wanted to see Zoe's reaction. Two good-looking male students fighting over her was big news. It wasn't common for self-study students to have such an honor. Being older, they often faced criticism for their age when it came to relationships. Plus, young college students often preferred younger girls.
Stella handed Zoe an orange, and Ellie sat on Zoe's bed, patted her, and asked, "Do you want to sleep first?"
Zoe still had homework to do, all of which was tucked in her textbooks. She hung up the towel and said, "I have to do my homework. Don't worry about me, I'm fine."
As she spoke, she popped an orange section into her mouth. Her cheeks and ears were still red from being kissed like that, her breathing out of sync, making her face flush. Her skin was fair with a healthy pink tone.
Ellie looked at her, pinched Zoe's cheek, and said, "Zoe, you're really pretty."
She was especially charming, especially with her eyes and fair skin, very alluring. If Zoe dressed up a bit like Ivy, Ivy wouldn't stand a chance.
Zoe always dressed simply and didn't put much effort into her appearance. Otherwise, she would definitely look even better.
Zoe smiled bitterly, "Aren't there plenty of good-looking people in this school?"
Ellie thought for a moment and said, "That's true."
Walking around the art department, one could see various beautiful freshmen, each unique in their own way.
"But it's surprising that Nick senior would be interested in Zoe."
Ellie sighed and said, nodding in agreement with Stella.
Especially Nick's approach to pursuing someone was very clear: he wasn't lacking in money...
Luna chuckled, "To each his own."
Ellie innocently asked, "Is Zoe the radish or the green vegetable?"
Luna burst out laughing, and Zoe paused in her book flipping, also laughing. The atmosphere in the dormitory finally lightened up.
Downstairs, the flower petals were quickly cleaned up by the juniors under the strict supervision of the dormitory aunt. The spectators dispersed, leaving only a few scattered students lingering in their dormitories, still looking down. Some even chased after them to the basketball court to see Nick and Leo fighting.
Eager to get the firsthand news.
On the shady path opposite the dormitory, Ivy trembled. Even the bright red lipstick couldn't cover up her pale lips. She stared at the steps where Nick had kissed Zoe, unable to snap out of it.
She trembled as she took out her phone, wanting to text Nerida something.
She wanted to say:
Nick really doesn't love you. He can really go crazy for a girl. He can even force himself, kiss her forcibly. Your intuition was right, he really doesn't love you...
When you love someone, it should be possessive, dominant, and strong (domineering, strong can also be translated as strong which has a negative connotation in English, but in this context, it's used to describe a person's assertive and dominant nature in a relationship). But with Nerida and Nick, Nick never initiated contact with Nerida. When Nerida reached out to him, he was indifferent.
Only when Nerida took the initiative again would Nick respond. He had always been like this, so everyone just assumed that was his nature. No one could change it, even Nerida...
Everyone took it for granted.
But tonight, seeing this scene, Ivy only felt cold. Nick... when he loved someone, it was like this. More domineering than anyone else.
"Ivy? Are you okay?"
A classmate who had been supporting Ivy for a long time noticed that she seemed lost in thought and was very concerned.
Ivy nodded, "I'm fine."
But she still felt cold.
"Should we go back?"
The classmate asked softly.
"Okay."
On the basketball court, the lights were still on. A group of people surrounded the area, making one think someone was playing basketball at night. With a thud, Leo was punched by Nick into the basketball pole.
Leo wiped his lip and said, "Nick, you can't force Zoe."
"What does it have to do with you!"
Nick approached him, asking coldly in return.
The two stared at each other, both seeing the malice in the other's eyes.
An hour later, Nick lowered his eyes, slightly disheveled. He held his phone, staring at the chat page.
Nick: "Zoe."
Zoe had turned on friend verification, and he wasn't her friend yet.
