Prologue to Tragedy

The once peaceful kingdoms have fallen out of balance. Order throughout the realms no longer existed.

The death of the ruler of Eden has shaken not only the Earth but even Heaven and the Underworld. A death everyone witnessed as a result of his own brother's desires and greed. They were punished for their sins and selfishness, and they had to lose their own brother to realize their wrong doings.

Lux and Tenebrius, battered and broken, were grieving in their own ways. They were begging their father, The Great Creator, shamelessly for forgiveness and to bring back their innocent brother who had lost his life because of them. What once was lost cannot be gained again. Not so easily.

The universe grieved and hurt, and one angel in particular was no exception to this emotion.

As the angelic being entered the room of the once great King of Eden, the rain fell mercilessly on the window. Slowly, he walked around the room before stopping at the windowsill; a white sheet of paper had caught his eye.

With a shakily hand, the angel picked up the letter.

"Dear Solis,

If you have found this letter, then that means you still come to my room, and that makes me happy more than words could express. It's like we are spending time together like we always do, it is a pity we cannot share a cup of tea. . .

I miss you so much. I do not wish for you to mourn over me. Everything comes to an end. All life does, I just did not expect mine to come so soon. . .

I am sorry, Sol. I am so sorry it has turned out this way. Do not make any irrational decisions  for my sake. Live on. I love you, no matter what. Please, wait for me.

Yours truly forever,

                ███  "

This wasn't suppose to happen. This wasn't fair.

Solis fell to his knees, gripping the paper against his chest delicately like a treasure. Tears began to fall down his face as he melted in his own helplessness.

The angel wept.
