The door immediately opened, and a younger, timid-looking boy was pushed in. In his arms was a newborn which he cradled protectively, as if his life's goal depended on keeping that baby alive. The fear in his eyes grew evident when he realized he had been brought into Elowen's den, and he instinctively retreated.

Rafael struggled to push himself into a kneeling position, his gaze fixed on the boy who appeared to be a year younger than him. The boy's hair was dusty, but it revealed two distinct shades of brown — light and dark. The baby in his arms cried incessantly, its wails echoing off the walls, and as Lamia stared intensely at the boy's little brother, the boy instinctively tried to scoot away. Unfortunately, the guard who brought him in pushed him forward once more.
