Chapter 16 The Weird Soup

As Duke walked into the office, he found Sherman seated in the boss's chair, his eyes closed and basking in the warm sunlight that spilled onto his long eyelashes. His mouth curved into a gentle smile, as though he were reminiscing about something from the past.

Duke couldn't remember the last time he had seen Sherman's frown melt away. Standing in the doorway, he hesitated to disturb the tranquility. Just as he was about to leave, Sherman opened his eyes slowly.

"What is it?" He asked, squinting and stretching his limbs. The sunlight trickled through the gaps in his shirt, casting a golden hue on his well-defined muscles.

Duke held out a folder. "It's nothing important, just some routine training programs that you might need to look over."

The Rough from the north had recently ignored warnings and provoked Sherman's wrath. While Sherman didn't need to concern himself with such trivial matters, if they got in his way, he would be happy to teach them a lesson.
