Chapter 22 Olivia Sloane

Elaine was lost in her own thoughts, drowning in them without knowing how much time had passed. Eventually, she drifted into a deep slumber.

It wasn't until the following morning, when sunlight spilled into the room, that Elaine roused from her sleep feeling groggy.

As she sat up, memories of the previous night flooded back to her, causing her to release a sigh.

She dressed herself and walked over to the window, stretching her arms as she did so.

With nothing planned for the day, Elaine decided to make herself a cup of black coffee. However, before she could do so, a commotion outside her door interrupted her.

"Miss Sloane, Mr. Holmes is not in there," a maid's voice called out.

Elaine furrowed her brow, listening as the maid spoke about someone named Olivia in a voice that sounded unfamiliar.

"Don't lie to me. I saw Sherman enter this room yesterday," a sharp and spirited female voice interjected.
