Chapter 63 Start Over

Elaine had been in Walltalen for four or five days, but she had mostly stayed indoors, even though the salty sea air and warm sunshine outside still tempted her.

Perhaps it was the natural sense of alienation that comes with being in a new place, or perhaps it was the responsibility she felt to keep the baby in her belly healthy without any negative influence.

Therefore, she needed to get her body back in top condition before she could fully enjoy the outside world.

During her moments of solitude, Elaine would occasionally think of Sherman. She remembered the time when she stayed in her room, observing the outside world through a window and waiting quietly for Sherman to arrive.

She had left Sherman to pursue her freedom, but now she couldn't help but feel unhappy. Elaine lay in her empty room, searching for something to distract her from dwelling on the past.
