Chapter 72 It's Time To Move On

Jackman and Elaine had fallen into a routine of sorts.

He would come over after work, if he wasn't too exhausted, and they would watch a movie or two, or just chat about their day.

Most nights he would head back to his place, but sometimes he would stay over and sleep on the couch. Elaine didn't mind, since it was nice to have the company.

In the mornings, Elaine would make us breakfast and they would eat together before Jackman left for work. Jackman was always so thoughtful, bringing Elaine small gifts like a new book or a box of chocolates. It was sweet of him, and Elaine appreciated it very much.

One morning, over breakfast, Jackman asked Elaine what her plans were for the day. Elaine told him she didn't have anything planned, just some errands to run.

She mentioned that she needed to go to the store to pick up some groceries and maybe some yarn for a project she was working on.
