Chapter 9

　　**Cora's POV**

　　I was sitting in the room, reading a book that Sean had brought me. I was not allowed to go outside, probably because of some security reasons. I hadn't seen the Alpha since that night. Only Sean had come to see me several times, so I could only ask him to let me have a walk outside. I was so bored staying in the room all the time. Sean refused me, saying that it was the Alpha's decision.

　　But at last, he suggested bringing me some books so that I could kill time. I was glad.

　　I liked reading. I always liked reading. When I was a child, my father had a lot of books in his study. But after he died, Gerardo sold all his books. Gerardo never read. He believed that the Alpha of the pack needed only strength. Strength was the only thing for a werewolf. And he didn't allow me to read. I secretly hid some books of my father's, but Gerardo found them. Gerardo burned all of them.
