Fractured Alliance

"When did you arrive?" Olive inquired, her gaze intensifying as she locked eyes with Lucas.

"I just got here. What's the matter?" Lucas responded with a smirk, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Did the principal punish you for posting the video?" he added, bursting into laughter, his voice echoing through the hallway.

"She didn't, and she won't punish me. I denied posting the video and told her it was someone else," Olive said, her voice firm and steady, her expression unyielding.

"What?! You did that. Why are you lying?" Lucas asked, his face reddening, his nostrils widening as he took a sharp breath, his eyes blazing with anger.

"Where is your proof? You shouldn't make accusations without evidence, right? And yes, Miss Aimee saw the video on my phone once, but you deleted it. This means there is no evidence for her to accuse me of posting the video," Olive said, her words tumbling out in a rush, her frustration palpable in the tightness of her voice.

"You..." Lucas began, his voice dropping to a low growl, his words biting and sharp, like a snarl.

"Don't you dare!" Olive yelled, with seriousness laced in her tone, stopping Lucas just before he could punch her face. "And to avoid getting in trouble, I won't ask for the video to be sent to my phone anymore. Instead, the person with the video will post it directly from their phone. And as for the SIM card... Olive paused, pulling out the one she used to post the video and breaking it in half.

"Well done! You're quite clever and cunning." Lucas said, smirking and clapping.

"Dealing with you, spoiled brat, I have to be cunning and smart." Olive said, smirking as she approached Lucas, their gazes locked in anger. "We should start preparing for the competition to avoid any unnecessary issues for the school, don't you think?"

"You may have won, but I suggest you enjoy it while it lasts," Lucas said, his gaze intense as he looked at Olive before turning away. Let's head to the library. We only have one week left before vacation," he added, walking off and accidentally colliding with a man carrying a box of sex toys, the contents spilling out in a colorful array, the man's face flushing with embarrassment.

"Watch where you're going next time!" Lucas exclaimed, rubbing his backside where he had hit the ground, his eyes flashing with annoyance.

The man, who appeared to be in his fifties with white hair, was dressed in a blue corporate uniform, his face set in pain as he rubbed his backside too.

"You ran into him, Lucas. You should apologize instead of yelling," Olive said, approaching the man on the floor and helping him gather the sex toys back into the box, her eyes wide with disbelief, her voice laced with disgust.

"Thank you, girl," the man said with a smile before carrying the box full of sex toys into the principal's office.

"I can't believe all those sex toys were found in the students' dorm," Olive exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at Lucas, her voice laced with distaste.

"What's so unbelievable about it? Is this your first time seeing sex toys?" Lucas asked, rolling his eyes. "Oh, I get it. You probably can't afford one because of your poor family background, so you've never owned one before.

"Can you please be quiet? Why do you always bring up my family background during our discussions? Olive asked, her voice filled with frustration as she looked at Lucas. "And why would I need a sex toy? I don't see the point in having one, and besides, I'm not gay like you."

"You're going to get upset if I mention your family background again, but it's so obvious you come from a poor family background." Lucas responded with a sigh. "And who said only gay people can have sex toys? Straight people can have them too, and just so you know, I'm straight. I have a wonderful girlfriend, so stop calling me gay."

"Whatever! You act like you're gay. It's not my fault." Olive muttered to herself as she started to walk away.

"What did you say? Say it to my face, you jerk!" Lucas shouted, his body tense as he followed after her.

____

As they walked to the library, the tension between them was palpable, their bodies tense, their eyes locked in a silent challenge. The students couldn't resist gossiping about the unexpected pairing, their whispers and glances following Olive and Lucas like a shadow.

Hey!" Austin exclaimed as soon as he spotted Olive.

"Hi guys!" Olive greeted as she approached Austin and Samuel, taking a seat with Lucas beside her. "How's your preparation going?" Olive added , her voice bright and cheerful, a stark contrast to the tension between her and Lucas.

"I'm not even in the mood to do any research. Everything just sucks!" Austin replied, his expression downcast, his voice laced with frustration.

"What's wrong?" Olive asked, her eyebrows raised in concern, her gaze softening.

"All the sex toys we bought with our hard-earned money have been confiscated by the principal. And now we have to call our parents after vacation," Austin lamentated, his voice filled with anger and disappointment.

"Oh... Lots of sex toys with different sizes and colors were taken to her office, and I even touched them. OMG..." Olive said, her face screwing up in distaste, her voice laced with disgust.

"I already told you to forget about that. We'll buy another one later. Samuel said as he placed Austin's head on his shoulder, his fingers combing through his hair before turning his gaze back to Olive and Lucas, with a smile on his face. "This is a surprise I never thought I would see until my last day in Belmont. The school heir is friends with a scholarship student."

"What the heck?!" Olive and Lucas exclaimed In unison.

"I'd rather be friends with a pig than this jerk." Lucas said, rolling his eyes.

"Of course. Since you're also a pig. I'm not surprised." Olive retorted, anger evident in his tone.

"You...Lucas began to say with anger in his voice, only to be cut off by Samuel.

"Guys, that's enough! I guess I was wrong. You two can never be friends in this world and beyond." Samuel said, swallowing hard.

"Exactly!" Olive and Lucas replied in unison, their bodies tense with anger.

"Anyways, it's the first time I've seen two enemies deciding to work together. Who is in favor of the motion and who's against it? Austin asked lifting up his head from Sakuel's shoulder, his gaze fixed on Olive and Lucas who seemed undecided. "You guys still haven't made up your minds?!"

"Well, we have now." Olive replied with a smile dancing on her lips . "I'll support the motion and he'll oppose it."

"Of course, you would support it. You poor people always like free things. But you're right about one thing, I'll definitely oppose that motion." Lucas replied with a smirk.

"I've already told you to stop bringing up my family background whenever we're talking." Olive warned, her eyes flashing with anger as she locked eyes with Lucas.

Lucas gaze never leaving Olive's face, his body tense with anticipation. "And what will you do about it?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm, his eyes glinting with amusement.

Olive's eyes narrowed, her pupils constricting as she glared at Lucas, her face set in a fierce scowl. "You know exactly what I'll do. So I suggest you watch your step," she said, her voice low and menacing, her words laced with a hint of warning.
