Aria's perspective
My breath was heavy as I ran. As I dashed onto another path, I heard them curse loudly behind me.
What the hell had I gotten myself into?
“Take the Jeep!” I heard the blue-eyed guy order as I tried to run faster.
I threw a glance over my shoulders and saw that they were right behind my heel, fuck, they could run!
I had no idea why they were chasing me, but they gave me a lot of creeps in the park. There was no way I was going to stop and ask them why the hell they were chasing me.
I won’t be able to outrun them on this road. They would catch up with me.
The only way I could lose them was in the wood surrounding the road.
If I could get there, I would be able to lose them among the trees.
I made a left turn and slid down the hill, hastened my pace, and reached the trees without getting caught. My breathing was becoming jagged.
I glanced over my shoulders again, my foot caught up in something, causing me to trip and fall head-first to the ground.
I groan, lying there without moving my body.
I heard their movements stopped and a few pants.
The blue-eyed guy stared at me with an amusing grin.
The other man behind him gave me a weak smile. I hissed through my teeth and tried to stand on my feet.
My ankle hurts.
“Are you hurt?” He asked, his eyes flickering with concern. I stared squarely at him with a cock eyebrow.
I almost doubted that he was worried about me.
“What the do you want?” I snapped angrily at him. He held my gaze steadily with his own, a small smile dancing on his lips. He looked me straight in the eye.
“I want you.” His voice is decadent and smooth.
My mouth fell open. Then, I clamped it shut again.
I was speechless.
“Silas, tell Drake to bring the Jeep here. I will take her.”
I watched Silas curiously as he drew nearer to me, he was tall and powerful, and his lean face was unremarkable and pleasant. His hair was a rusty shade of brown, and his eyes were somewhere between blue and gray.
He walked past me, saying nothing.
I tilted my head back to the man before me, stepped away from him, and leaned against the tree that caught me earlier.
“Where do you plan to take me?” I asked in a panicked voice.
“Somewhere safe. With me.” His voice was tight.
I have no plans on going anywhere with him. I didn’t seem to have a choice when his strong arm wrapped around me and lifted my feet from the ground into his arms.
I struggled to free my arm and push him but he was too strong for me.
My body stiffened at his touch, he was so close now, if I were to look at him his face would be mere inches away from mine.
I refused to look at him, what if he kissed me?
I know absolutely nothing about this guy!
“Look at me.”
When I face him again, the look in his eyes completely captivates me.
“Let me go.” I fought to get out of his arms, but it only made them tighten around me. He lowered his head, a few inches away from my mouth.
My breath felt as if it was stuck in my throat.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t do that.” He nuzzled his face in between the crook of my neck and shoulders.
I couldn’t help but tremble, I could tell he smirked.
“Stay still.” He whispered huskily and brushed his lips against my neck faintly.
“Let go of me, your pervert!” I shouted and started to kick and fight him. His grip didn’t falter he only chuckled at me.
“Pervert? When we get home, I will let you know how much of a pervert I can be.” I felt his smile against the exposed skin on my neck.
I tried to wriggle free but it wasn’t working.
“Put me down!”
“I won’t.” He said firmly.
“You won’t be able to walk if I do. I think you spring your ankle.”
“I’m fine.”
He didn’t say anything else and was taking me out of the woods still in his arms.
The Jeep was parked when we got there, and I was still struggling to get away from him.
“I’m going to report you!” I threatened angrily he didn’t seem affected by my threat, his eyes dilated playfully.
He took me to the Jeep, placed me down on the back seat, and flopped next to me inside the car.
“We would see about that.” He smirked and moved closer to me, he lifted his hands as if he was going to touch me. I placed my hands on my chest glaring at him. He chuckled. “Seatbelt.”
Silas entered the car and sat beside the driver who perhaps was Drake, and I was with their master at the backseat.
For a moment, none of them said a word, it was cranky and creepy as hell.
Suddenly, Silas came down from the car and sat next to me.
“What’s happening?”
I was suddenly engulfed with fear being next to strangers, and having no idea what they could do to me.
“Where are you taking me?” I stared at their stoic faces.
“Let me out of there!” I raised my voice.
“Quiet.” He said levelly.
I ignored him and hit the car window with my fist.
“Somebody help!”
“I said enough!” He growled and my lips clamped shut immediately, sinking between him and Silas.
“Get to it, Silas.” He commanded and a sound rumbled through his chest.
My hands trembled when it dawned on me that I had been kidnapped by some strangers.
I searched my pocket for my phone but I couldn’t find it, I left it at the park.
“Please don’t hurt me.” I clasped my hands together, pleading with them.
I realized that there was no way to get help.
“I won’t hurt you.” His words didn’t sound true to me.
“Then let me go.”
“No.” A sly smile curled at the corner of his lips and he pinned me down beside him.
I felt a needle pierced into my skin by Silas before I could do anything, he had emptied the contents of the syringe in my arm.
My eyes were getting blurry, and my head felt heavy. I blinked rapidly to keep my eyes open but I couldn’t see his face, and as if the sounds around me were becoming distant.
His hands left me and he whispered to me, his voice was probably the last time I heard before the darkness took over and my eyes closed.
“...I have no choice but to do this, mate.”
