Escape

Nangong had a bunch of genuine tools in his hands, but he was still just a mortal. This became evident from his style of fighting: he couldn't fly or perform extraordinary feats, and he even had to dodge when a small stone fell from above. Witnessing this, Lin Feng's confidence soared. He approached and swiftly knocked down this ineffective half-hearted demon hunter with a brick.

He used his data terminal.

"This thing finally works!" Lin Feng looked at Nangong lying stiffly on the ground, feeling quite pleased as he looked at the hexagonal metal piece in his hand, which was similar in shape to an ashtray. He thought to himself that after countless unpleasant user experiences, he had finally discovered the only obedient function of this thing. However, the data terminal clearly didn't agree with this—over the next few minutes, it cursed in Lin Feng's mind for five minutes straight. Lin Feng felt that he should inquire in advance about where to find the mute function for this thing.

"Problem solved, let's get moving!" Lin Feng swaggered, and Vivian and Muyun immediately transformed, starting to bombard the surrounding undead armor that was gradually breaking free from the rune control. They quickly cleared out a large area of undead that had already approached them. However, just as everything seemed to be going according to plan, a surprising development occurred: another rope suddenly dropped from the hole in the hall's ceiling!

The thin Indian monk had not left. Instead, at this critical moment, he descended from the sky just like Nangong!

Lin Feng looked at the two female superheroes who were wreaking havoc, then glanced at Nangong lying on the ground. He gritted his teeth and felt that he should show the decisiveness of a man at this moment. So, taking advantage of the thin monk not yet adapting to the dark environment underground, he rushed up in three quick steps. The data terminal's screams echoed in his mind at that moment: "Stop it immediately! Your method of use is...."

"Bang!"

Seemingly as capable as Nangong, the thin Indian monk was also just a mortal. He took a brick to the back of his head and immediately passed out. He slid all the way down the rope and lay there before his feet could even touch the ground.

Lin Feng placed the unconscious thin old man to the side, feeling quite guilty. He apologized to the old man, who was dressed in a strange robe and smelled of spices: "I'm sorry, the situation is special right now—if you were awake, it would be dangerous."

"Are you still being sentimental at this time?" Vivian spread her wings and looked at Lin Feng with a strange expression.

"You're old, and I have to apologize for hitting you on the back of the head," he replied.

With no external interference and in a relatively open space, with moonlight shining down from above, Vivian and Muyun were finally able to unleash their full strength. Under the onslaught of a violent meat grinder and an eternal polar storm, hundreds of tin cans were soon lying on the ground. However, more than half of these tin cans had not completely "died". These steel warriors possessed vitality far beyond human imagination. Even if they were smashed into pieces, as long as they were not pulverized, they could quickly reassemble. As a result, the hall was soon filled with the sound of metal armor fragments rolling around, recombining into armor pieces. The sight and sound made one's hair stand on end. However, Lin Feng was used to such scenes and only felt that continuing like this was futile: the vitality of these armors was too strong, not that they couldn't be killed, but that they would resurrect immediately after being killed. This was a headache. Vivian's polar storm also needed a buffer period, and continuously releasing the cold air had already lowered the overall temperature of the hall to a very dangerous level. Lin Feng was very worried that he would freeze to death before these armors were completely frozen—or that Nangong and the Indian monk would freeze to death first.

It was necessary to move the battlefield to a more spacious place—or simply to run away.

"Quick, think of a way to get up there," Lin Feng looked up at the large hole above, "After going up, figure out a way. We don't know how many armors are left here, so it's pointless to fight them underground."

"Okay!" Muyun, who had found another unlucky undead armor and was killing it, was the first to run back after hearing Lin Feng's words. The werewolf girl was fed up with this gloomy and cramped space, so after sweeping away a group of enemies with her "war hammer," she prepared to break through upwards. However, Lin Feng first gathered the two unlucky guys lying on the ground together. "We have to take them up too."

"Two people... plus you, it's not easy to carry," Vivian frowned. Then, she suddenly noticed two ropes hanging down not far away. She flew up, cut the ropes from above, and brought them back, handing them to Lin Feng, "Tie these two together. I'll pull them up first, and you and the big dog wait behind—big dog, can you get up there by yourself?"

Muyun looked at the large hole that led straight to the ground and nodded confidently, "I can jump up there in one leap!"

Lin Feng admired the werewolf girl's jumping ability and quickly and skillfully tied Nangong and the thin old man together. Vivian flapped her wings and flew up with the two people.

In a moment, Vivian flew back into the hole. "It's done, I threw them where those ghost enthusiasts camped before, you hit them hard enough, they won't wake up for a while."

"Let's get ready to go up too," Lin Feng nodded, but he suddenly remembered something and pointed to the black crystal half-buried in the rubble not far away, "What about this thing?"

The stone that caused all the trouble, the demon's stone, was still lying quietly in the center of the hall. Despite falling from a height and being hit by falling rocks for half a day, it hadn't even cracked. Lin Feng was certain that the demon's stone had "awakened," because when this thing fell from the roof, it was obviously impacted. Its tip had been flashing with an unsettling red light since it hit the ground, and the undead guards in the palace had also lost control due to the leakage of the demon's stone's power. But other than that, the demon's stone had not caused any more commotion. It hadn't summoned a demon as Vivian had said, so when everyone was busy fighting, they subconsciously ignored this thing.

But now they couldn't continue to ignore it: the demon's stone was constantly flashing, which meant it would definitely not sit still here. Moreover, its influence on the undead in the palace was huge. No matter how you looked at it, it couldn't be left in this place.

At the very least, it should be moved to the surface, away from the surrounding undead—after all, the seal of the palace was already broken, and it was meaningless to keep it in the demon's secret room.

Vivian was a little overwhelmed when she saw the demon's stone, but she also knew that she couldn't ignore it. She turned to Muyun,

"Big dog, you carry this up, I'll take the landlord up."

Muyun was shocked on the spot, "Why...hey, you're playing dirty!"

Before the werewolf girl could finish her sentence, Vivian had already grabbed Lin Feng's arm and flown out of the cave entrance.

"Phew...it feels so good to breathe fresh air." As soon as he returned to the ground, Lin Feng took a deep breath and then sat down on the ground. Although it could be said that the "salary had been received," he was still in the early stages of body strengthening and would still get tired, sore, and cramped. At this moment, he barely had the strength to stand up. "Let me rest for a bit. Today was really tough..."

"Why hasn't the big dog come up yet?" After a few seconds, Vivian looked at the quiet big hole tens of meters away and asked curiously, "Could something have gone wrong?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard Muyun's "Heya" from the hole, followed by a silver figure bouncing out of the hole like a cannonball. Muyun was holding the demon's stone, and she bounced several meters above the ground, shouting triumphantly in mid-air, "I told you, I can jump up in one leap!"

Lin Feng and Vivian watched silently as Muyun bounced out of the hole, and then fell straight back along the same path...

Next, Muyun began to bounce up and down: "Who can help me..."

"Kick me from the side..."

"Otherwise, I can't get outside!"

It took three tries to finish saying these words.

Vivian flew up and kicked her, saying, "You fool! Can't you jump in a parabolic arc?"
