Husky Benchmark

Muyun's evolution was even more rapid than expected. From the appearance of anomalies to the completion of her transformation, only a few minutes had passed. Yet, the process was still incredibly spectacular: a large area with a radius of a hundred meters had been transformed into a bowl shape by the wind pressure generated during her transformation. All the soil, rocks, and lime within this range were swept away. After the most intense shockwave subsided, Muyun had transformed into a giant beast, measuring about seven to eight meters in length and over three meters in height. She was truly larger than life—just looking at her size alone made her as imposing as Izaxus when he descended. However, it seemed that her size was the only imposing aspect of her appearance.

Vivian stretched her neck to look for a while, and only after hearing a "howl—woof" did she finally confirm, "It really is a husky."

"Don't joke around, we're here to do business." Lin Feng's first reaction was naturally disbelief. He didn't take her statement seriously at all, thinking that Vivian was just taking the opportunity to mock the silly werewolf again. From an objective standpoint, he felt that the giant canine creature in the pit was indeed a wolf, from its size to its demeanor—it was all wolf-like. Although its facial features were slightly softer... but look at those eyes full of killing intent, those triangular ears standing upright, those sharp teeth... it looked like a wolf in every way.

It was just the last "woof" that was a bit hard to understand.

"I'm not joking." Vivian gave Lin Feng a sideways glance. "Although huskies look quite similar to wolves, with careful observation, you can still tell the difference. I've been dealing with werewolves for thousands of years, and I've witnessed firsthand how some wolves evolved into various breeds of dogs. Do you think I wouldn't be able to tell?"

Lin Feng was suddenly stunned, only now noticing that Vivian's expression was serious, not joking at all. The vampire girl was exceptionally earnest, completely stating the facts. This made him feel a sense of unreality: "...You mean... this is a husky?!"

Vivian nodded vigorously, almost wanting to shake her head into a blur.

Lin Feng was dumbfounded, slowly turning his head to look at Muyun. The huge "wolf" beast was still looking up at the moon, behaving erratically, sometimes howling, sometimes barking. Lin Feng felt that the amount of information had reached a point where he couldn't think straight. All he could do was hold his head and crouch down slowly: "Don't make a sound, let me process this..."

But no matter how he processed it, the reality was right in front of him. This was not a problem that could be overcome with a "strong worldview." He had to face the staggering truth that after fully transforming into an animal form, Muyun had revealed her true form—a husky...

A husky, dear audience, gentlemen and ladies, brothers and sisters! A husky! Even the author himself can't believe his keyboard. How could Lin Feng believe all this?

But whether he believed it or not, Muyun seemed quite satisfied. After entering her animalized form, she felt a long-lost sense of comfort. The suppressed power and instincts were released all at once, making her howl at the moon for several minutes. Then she noticed the few companions standing at the edge of the pit and immediately trotted over, happily wagging her tail. Imagine the scene of a husky that was seven to eight meters long frolicking around. Lin Feng was awakened by a slight tremor. He regained his senses from the shattered worldview, only to see a huge, sharp mouth looming over him. He broke into a cold sweat: "Wait! Muyun, what are you doing! We agreed that you would stay conscious throughout..."

"She just wants to lick you." Vivian flew over lightly, very irresponsibly dropping this sentence, while Izaxus ran even faster, directly teleporting a hundred meters away.

"Lick me..." Lin Feng had just uttered a few words when he felt a warm tongue land on him. He felt as if he had been hit head-on by a speeding car. If his body hadn't been strengthened, this lick would have probably broken half of his ribs. Muyun's tongue even forced out Lin Feng's rigid shield. He found that his body was covered with a translucent film of light: this film prevented Muyun from accidentally tearing off half of his body, but it couldn't save his new clothes.

When Vivian and Izaxus, the two heartless fellows, came over to help, Lin Feng was like he had just survived a bombing in the Middle East. Three-fifths of his clothes were inside Muyun's stomach...

"You didn't get any saliva on you, did you?" Vivian asked seemingly concerned, but she quickly noticed the semi-transparent film that blocked Muyun's saliva attack, becoming interested in this thin film. "Hey, is this the rigid shield you mentioned? Let me tap it a few times to see if it's any good?"

"Can you find me some clothes first?" Lin Feng looked down at his almost-exposed tattered clothes, tears welling up in his eyes. "Also, does anyone have a way to communicate with Muyun? Right now, she can only howl and bark..."

Where could Vivian find clothes for Lin Feng at this time? In the end, Izaxus had to take off his own coat and give it to Lin Feng. The coat was like a robe on Izaxus, but it felt like a cloak on Lin Feng. At this moment, Muyun was still in a state of excitement and hadn't calmed down. She had no idea how much trouble she had caused to her little companions below. She just tilted her head with interest, watching Vivian fly around her head, twisting her neck like an restless puppy... or rather, a big dog. Occasionally, she would stretch her neck to try to lick Lin Feng again, but this time, he was more alert and ran away without hesitation—after all, he was borrowing this coat.

Vivian flew around Muyun's head for a long time, confirming that the big dog didn't bite people before daring to get a little closer. She shouted at Muyun, "Big dog! Can you hear me?"

Muyun's ears twitched, turning sensitively in Vivian's direction. Then, she nodded vigorously, panting heavily while wagging her tail. The sight of this made Lin Feng, even if he was unwilling to believe it, accept the reality: the girl he had raised as a werewolf for a month was actually a husky spirit...

How could a real wolf wag its tail like that!

After confirming that Muyun could understand human speech, Vivian felt slightly relieved. She then asked loudly, "Can you speak?!"

Muyun opened her mouth: "Howl... woof?"

"You can understand but can't speak. What a useless creature she's become after evolving." Vivian fluttered her wings down from mid-air, with a face full of helplessness. "I was nervous for three whole days before, afraid that she would become powerful after evolving..."

"I feel like she's indeed more powerful now."

Izaxus chimed in from the side. As there were no huskies in the demon world, he was the only one present who couldn't understand why Lin Feng and Vivian were reacting so strongly.

"...It has nothing to do with combat power." Lin Feng said with as much sarcasm as he could muster, "A husky is a benchmark—a benchmark for idiocy."

A blue light flew quickly from a nearby place. The data terminal that had been thrown near Muyun as a detector (could also be called a "leap-thunder"?) returned to Lin Feng. This unlucky PDA had just withstood the shockwave head-on and had been buried several meters underground. Now, it looked as if it hadn't suffered any damage at all, making people sigh that it was indeed a high-tech product from the divine race. The data terminal was too busy to complain now, circling rapidly around Lin Feng: "What's going on? What's going on? Wasn't it supposed to be a regression to the wolfman's ancestors? How did it become a giant husky?"

Even the data terminal said so. Muyun's true identity was confirmed—this PDA had a biological scanning function.

After transforming into her animalized form, Muyun's attention seemed to return to the level of a husky. Despite being so close to Lin Feng and the others, she paid no attention to what her companions were saying. Soon, her focus shifted elsewhere, and she began to wander around, sometimes picking up a "small stone" (as big as a millstone) to throw and then fetch, sometimes digging a big hole with her front paws, though it was unclear what she intended to do. Most of the time, she aimlessly trotted around, creating a commotion with her giant body. But the most jarring thing was her wagging tail as she ran...

This innocent and naive appearance was simply unbearable to look at. Lin Feng felt that he wouldn't even dare to face a dictionary in his life, let alone movies or TV shows...
