Chapter 22: A Cycle of Anger

Mr. Martin's face contorted in disbelief.

"What? Bryan assaulted my daughter? That's not possible, you must be lying, Churchill!"

he exclaimed, his voice shaking with rage.

Churchill's expression was grim.

"I'm not lying, sir. You can come and see for yourself. Alexia is in the hospital and is still unconscious,"

he said, his eyes welling up with tears as he paced back and forth outside the emergency room.

Mr. Martin rushed to the hospital, his mind racing with thoughts of his daughter's safety.

As he arrived, he demanded to see the doctor, his anxiety palpable.

The doctor assured him that Alexia would be fine, but Mr. Martin's worry only subsided slightly.

Just then, Alexia 's eyes flickered open. Churchill and Mr. Martin were by her side in an instant,

their faces etched with concern. As she tried to sit up, she winced in pain, her injuries evident.
