I gazed at Kieran, who lay asleep, his chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. My fingers instinctively stroked his hair, and I felt a pang of reluctance to leave him. But I knew I had to depart, and so I whispered a silent farewell, hoping that he would understand.
"Your Highness, the preparation has been completed," Azazel announced, his voice low and respectful.
I nodded, my eyes still fixed on Kieran. "I understand, let's depart."
As I turned to leave, I added, "Take care of Kieran for me. Don't let anyone from the Luciano family near or be alone with him. If anyone dares, you are all to use your full powers without any restrictions."
With that, I left at the crack of dawn, the sky still a deep shade of indigo. The sooner I arrived in the Underworld, the sooner I might find a way to separate the two entities present in one body.
As we traveled, I turned to Azazel and asked, "Do you think everyone will accept me as the heir?"
