"Alright, everyone, listen to Third Brother. Let's put in some extra effort."
The group, equipped with some heterodox techniques, tightened the bundles hidden beneath their clothing and resumed their bustling efforts in excavating the tomb, drilling the shaft straight and narrow.
Soon enough, they broke through to a burial chamber which, by that time, had already been cleared out of looters; even the coffin lid had fallen to the ground. Atop the coffin, a large toad's eyes emitted a faint green glow.
"So, this is the hive that Old Chen spent nearly half a year scouting?" The last big lizard we encountered was at least uniquely appealing and fetched a pretty penny. What use have they for this big toad now?
"It must be a feint—a deliberate distraction," proclaimed Chen, circling the coffin with a grave expression. He tapped gently with his pickaxe around the tomb, and when he struck the center, a dull, hollow sound echoed back.
