In just thirty seconds, the city gates were filled with holes as thick as fingers, from which blood-red tendrils crept out like agile snakes, constantly encroaching on Ye Chenfeng and his group as well as Kong Fei and his companions.
These overwhelmingly pervasive tendrils seemed to suddenly come to life, especially their appearance which was enough to send chills down one's spine. The surface of the tendrils seemed to be covered by a thin skin, beneath which a red liquid coursed, much like blood within a human body.
Ye Chenfeng's eyebrows knotted tightly. He sensed something terribly wrong with these tendrils and warned: "Mingxuan, be careful. I have a feeling there's something off about these blood-red tendrils."
Shen Mingxuan nodded. Seeing no way to retreat, he quickly added: "Chenfeng is right; these tendrils seem extremely dangerous and could very likely threaten our lives."
