A glimmer of destiny

Erin's voice thundered through the room, her fury palpable. "So, you're in here with her while I was out there waiting for you?" she bellowed, her eyes blazing with anger.

Jason's apology was weak, his words dripping with regret. "Erin... I'm sorry."

Rebecca emerged, her half-clothed body a testament to the betrayal. Her eyes locked onto Jason, her gaze a mixture of shock and disgust. "Erin, what's going on?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.

Erin's response was a venomous hiss. "That's your boyfriend, who's been two-timing you!" she spat, her words hanging in the air like a challenge.

Rebecca's eyes widened in disbelief, her gaze fixed on Jason's ashamed face. "He claims to love me and has been fucking you behind my back!" Erin's words were a slap in the face, leaving Rebecca's mouth agape and her eyes frozen in shock.

The air was heavy with tension, the silence deafening. Jason's eyes dropped, unable to meet the gaze of the two women he had betrayed. Erin's chest heaved with rage, her fists clenched at her sides. Rebecca's face was a picture of disbelief, her mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of Jason's deception.

Robecca's anger thundered like a storm, her face contorted in a mix of rage and hurt. Her words cut short, she slammed her fists against her own body, as if punishing herself for her own vulnerability. "Babe, I'm so sorry...!" The apology hung in the air, unfinished and hollow, a stark contrast to the sincerity she once had for him.

With a fierce cry, she slapped Jason again, the sound echoing through the room like a crack of thunder. Her eyes blazed with fury, her pupils constricted in a piercing stare that seemed to bore into his very soul. "Fuck you, Jason!!!" she spat, her voice venomous and raw, each word a dagger aimed at his heart. She snatched up her clothes, her movements jerky and violent, as if she couldn't bear to be near him a moment longer.

But instead of covering herself, she stormed out of the room, leaving Jason's plea hanging in the air like a limp ragdoll. The door slammed shut behind her, the sound a deafening rejection that left Jason reeling. Erin watched the scene unfold with a smug, knowing glint in her eye, her expression a mask of superiority. She turned her back on Jason, her silence a cold, calculated dismissal that spoke volumes.

Jason's desperate call - "Erin!" - went unanswered, his voice cracking with emotion. His eyes pleaded with her to stay, to listen, to forgive, but she was unmoved. His anger and frustration boiled over, his fist pounding the table so hard it seemed to shake the very foundations of the room. "Shit!" he hissed, his face contorted in rage, his eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and despair.

Rebecca stumbled away, her pain and humiliation momentarily numbed by alcohol. She collapsed into her friend Rieles' arms, her words slurred but her emotions raw. "I guess the saying is true...you can't have the man, but not his dick...it has a mind of its own..." She laughed, a bitter, drunken sound, her eyes welling up with tears.

Rieles nodded in agreement, her eyes flashing with anger, her arms wrapping around Rebecca in a warm embrace. "He's a dick!" she concurred, taking a swig from her hidden flask. The two friends commiserated in the darkness, their hearts heavy with the weight of betrayal, their spirits crushed by the harsh reality of love and lies.

Robecca's words tumbled out, laced with a mix of sadness and longing, her eyes glassy from the alcohol. "I could've hypnotized him, made him mine alone...but I was wrong." She slumped forward, her head in her hands.

Rieles' expression turned sympathetic, her voice filled with amusement. "You should've hypnotized his to dick too," she said, chuckling.

Robecca's face contorted in pain, her voice rising. "But what hurts most is that he got her that stunning red dress...the one I wanted." Her eyes pleaded with Rieles, her expression a picture of despair.

Rieles' smile was sly, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Yeah, he did," she affirmed, her voice low and husky. "But you should've hypnotized him to get you that dress too."

Robecca's eyes widened, a look of longing on her face. "Yeah, I should've," she mumbled, her gaze fixed on some distant point.

Rieles' voice was honey-sweet, her tone persuasive. "It's made of silk, with a long slit at the front. You'd look stunning in it." She reached out, her hand brushing against Robecca's arm.

Robecca's face lit up, a dreamy look in her eyes. "Yeah, it'll look good on me," she whispered, her voice filled with desire.

The two friends chuckled, their laughter a mix of sadness and humor, their hearts heavy with the weight of love and betrayal.

"OK, we shared my shame with you, but now you would forget it all, I never did. But remember to stay away from Jason, and that's my reason! Because he's a dick and should never be your pick." Robecca activated her hypnotic voice, and Rieles got up, like she was in a trance, and walked away. "You know what's pretty impressive ability you've got there... "

A male voice said, "And who are you?" Robecca asked.

"I am Hermes, the messenger of the gods, Onsserad," he answered. "And I have been sent by the gods to help you upgrade your abilities." He responded with a shy smile.

"How so?" Robecca asked, amused.

"Let's say you'll be able to hypnotize an unlimited number of people at the same time, and that includes creatures of the forest, wouldn't that be amazing?" the messenger explained.

Hermes' eyes gleamed with excitement as he posed the question, his voice low and hypnotic. "Wouldn't that be amazing, Robecca? To wield the power to shape the world?"

Robecca's eyes widened, her pupils dilating with desire. "Yes, it would," she breathed, her voice barely audible.

Hermes' smile grew wider, his teeth glinting in the light. "But remember, once you agree, there's no turning back. You'll be bound to this path forever."

Robecca's gaze never wavered, her jaw set in determination. "I'm ready," she said, her voice firm.

"Deal!" they exclaimed in unison, their voices echoing through the air.

Hermes' smile turned triumphant, his eyes gleaming with victory. "I've won two of the most powerful students to my side. Now, on to the next phase."

Adley's voice was laced with desperation as he begged, "Come back to me, Dianne..." Her struggles weakened, and her eyes transformed from dark to bright green, like a storm clearing. She whispered, "Adley..." her voice barely audible, her body trembling like a leaf.

Adley's face lit up with a warm smile as he enveloped her in a tight embrace. "You brought me back..." Dianne whispered, her voice cracking as they clung to each other like long-lost friends. Tears streamed down her face as she sobbed, "Thank you." The tension in their bodies eased, replaced by a sense of relief and gratitude.

As they sat on a bench in the Wiccans' building, the silence was palpable. Dianne's voice was laced with guilt, "I almost killed you..." Adley's expression was soothing, "But you didn't..." He gently raised the bracelet, and for the first time, a faint smile graced Dianne's lips, accompanied by a soft chuckle.

The sound was music to Adley's ears, and his eyes widened in awe, captivated by her beauty. "Can you do that again?" he asked, his voice filled with wonder. His request was met with a louder laugh, and Dianne's eyes sparkled like emeralds in the light. Adley's heart swelled with joy, grateful to have her back, and he knew their bond was unbreakable.

"What?" Diane asked, her face expressionless, her voice laced with curiosity. "Smile the way you just did a while ago."

He answered with a smitten look on his face, his eyes locked onto hers with an unmistakable gleam. The air seemed to charged with an electric tension as they sat down together, their gazes entwined in a silent understanding.

Diane's eyes narrowed slightly, her expression still neutral, but her voice hinted at a growing interest. "How did you do that?" she asked, her words barely above a whisper.

Adley's nervous scratch at the back of his head betrayed his calm exterior, his eyes darting away before returning to hers. "Uh...ch..." He stuttered, his voice barely audible.

Diane's gaze intensified, her eyes pleading for the truth. "Tell me, Adley. What's going on?" Her voice was laced with a hint of urgency, her body leaning in, her heart racing with anticipation.

Adley's confession spilled out, his voice barely above a whisper. "I do have an ability..." He paused, his eyes searching hers, his expression a mix of excitement and trepidation. "Hypnotic resistance."

Dianne's eyes flashed with excitement, her body leaning in closer, her voice barely containing her awe. "What does it mean?" Her eyes quivered with anticipation, her face inches from his.

Adley's smile returned, his eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think it means I can resist...any form of mind control." His voice trailed off, leaving room for interpretation.

The air seemed to vibrate with tension, their faces inches apart, the silence between them deafening. Dianne's eyes never left Adley's, her gaze burning with an unspoken question: "What else can you do?"
