Chapter 1 Rebirth as a Demon

In the midst of the dim and horrible lower realms, the Endless Abyss was picking up souls from the river of the underworld that flowed between the Abyss and Hell.

Souls that fit the characteristics of hell are singled out to become demons.

While other souls, much loved by the Abyss, are chosen by the Abyss to be reborn as demons.

At this time when Endless Abyss was busy picking out souls to his liking, a black-haired, black-eyed soul was chosen by him.

  ....

Not long after, within the incubation pool at the bottom of the abyss, countless demonic cocoons were hatching.

One of them, however, was different from the other demon cocoons, possessing its own consciousness when it was first formed.

  "This... Where is this?"

Abbott struggled to open his eyes, only to realize that he had actually appeared inside a horrible hatching pool when he opened them.

And he was lying in a green cocoon, surrounded by a dense mass of all the same things as him.

"Wait, I was reborn? Why am I here though."

At this time, much knowledge came out of nowhere to Abbott's mind.

This information was conveyed by the consciousness of the Endless Abyss, knowledge that every demon possessed upon birth.

Much of the knowledge is something that a demon born in the Endless Abyss is capable of knowing at birth, while other knowledge is slowly acquired as the demon's level increases.

The classes of demons are relatively simple, such as Imps, Intermediate Demons, High Level Demons and Demon Monarchs.

Those of them with their own special gifts and true names are known as the Sons and Daughters of the Abyss!

But the types of demons do vary widely.

Fleshly strong ones include dark demons and monstrous monsters.

There are also demon mages with a preference for casting spells, abyssal summoners, and so on.

There are even chimeras that exist that specialize in seducing living beings.

These are optional advancements for demons with their own talents.

All in all the classification of demons was simple yet messy and perfectly suited to the characteristics of the Endless Abyss!

Upon hearing this, it became clear to Abbott.

"So I was reborn into the abyss!"

But the next second, Abbott's heart began to worry.

"Scratch that, I remember demons wanting to get stronger but they have to kill each other to take each other's essence, this is an endless colosseum!"

Abbott looked around, although he couldn't see the situation clearly through the layer of cocoon, the dense cocoon of demons around him worried him.

This is because these newly born demons are urged by the Abyssal Consciousness to fight gruesomely as soon as they are born.

And Abbott can't help but look around and wonder if he'll make it out of here alive.

"No, I need to find a way to improve myself before I get out!"

But Abbott, now trapped, couldn't do anything at all, just as he was fretting.

"Ding, you have activated the sign-in system, please ask if you want to bind it!"

Abbott's eyes lit up and he knew what he was getting!

  System!

Surely the golden finger that every traveler has!

"May I ask if I am bound?"

The system's inquiry came again, and Abbott immediately chose to bind.

"Ding! The host has successfully bound the system, please tell me if you are signing in?"

Abbott asked after hearing that instead of rushing.

"System, can you tell us what your function is?"

"This system allows the bound host to sign in at any location and receive rewards after signing in, the more special the location or the longer the sign in time the more special the rewards!"

The system replied to, and Abbott quickly understood the use of the system and didn't hesitate any longer.

Abbott was a little excited, not knowing what he would get for his first signing.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for signing in at the Hatchery Pool and obtaining a copy of Intermediate Demon Essence!"

With the sound, some black and red essence as thick as a hairline appeared out of nowhere in Abbott's cocoon!

Abbott was thrilled to look at these gems.

The fastest way to raise a demon's advancement, besides plundering the essence of other creatures, is to plunder the essence of demons of the same kind!

But where there is a constant winner in a battle between demons.

Demons that are too weak can't provide much essence, while the rest of the powerful demons tend to have great fighting strength or skills.

It could be said that every advancement of a demon was fought out in a mountain of corpses and blood!

This is a testament to the preciousness of these essences before us.

"The essence of an intermediate level demon! It won't turn me into an intermediate level demon at once, but this is enough to make me walk sideways in this hatching pool after I'm born!"

  Abbott greedily absorbed the essences.

As expected, Abbott's body was rapidly changing after absorbing the essences.

Although he had yet to hatch out of the demon cocoon, his current aura was already making the rest of the surrounding demons vaguely feel a little uneasy.

The cocoon he was in, on the other hand, gradually turned from green to black and red.

  "Ahhhhhh, that hurts!"

Abbott felt the change in himself.

Starting from his own body, every bone, every muscle and even every blood vessel was rapidly reconstructing and becoming stronger.

Finally, after an unknown amount of time, the cocoon Abbott was in finally broke open.

A black and red demon with a stature of nearly two meters and two horns on its head was born!

That's Abbott now, and at the moment he feels power all over him and tries a swing.

  Whoosh!

The crack of a swinging fist was satisfying to Abbott.

"Not just strength, even speed is more than twice as strong as in my previous life!"

  Right about this time.

The entire hatching pool was abuzz with excitement.

All the demon cocoons have hatched!

Countless demons of all sizes crawled out of their cocoons with red eyes!
