With a soft clink, Aurola placed a simply designed cup filled with steaming hot beverage in front of Eve.
The capital city sparkled with lights in the night, the magical glow illuminating every corner, making it a true city that never sleeps. The sounds of people's laughter and merriment could be heard everywhere.
But these sounds were too distant from the highest room in the royal palace. One could only gaze through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the twinkling starry sky below.
"I am deeply honored," Eve said, taking the cup and taking a small sip. The temperature of the drink was a bit too hot for the elf's tongue, so she blinked and placed the cup back on the table, looking at Aurola who sat across from her, leaning on the soft, luxurious sofa, gazing down at the capital with an indifferent expression.
"There must not be many people on this continent who have had the honor of receiving a drink personally served by Her Majesty the Empress."
