Theodore's concern deepened as he saw the distress flicker in Bella's eyes. "Do you have your medicine with you?"
Bella nodded weakly, pointing toward the side table. "In my bag."
Theodore reached for her bag, unzipping it swiftly. His fingers sifted through its contents until he found a small white vial. Popping open the cap, he retrieved a pill and turned back to her.
"Here, take this." He placed the pill in her palm before grabbing the glass of water from the nightstand.
Bella placed the pill on her tongue and took a small sip of water. The cool liquid soothed her dry throat, but the weight pressing against her chest remained.
"Thanks," she murmured, handing the glass back to him.
Theodore didn't move away. He studied her closely, his gaze searching for any sign of relief. "How are you feeling now?"
