The city streets bustle with activity as cars rush past and pedestrians hurry home. Sai White, a young man in his eighteen, exits a small convenience store with a tired smile. He clutches a bag of groceries in his hand, his expression a mix of exhaustion and determination.
Sai approaches a crosswalk, glancing left and right. The light ahead blinks amber, urging him to cross before it turns red. He hesitates, torn between waiting for next cycle or making a dash for it.
As Sai steps onto the crosswalk, a speeding car runs the red light. The driver distracted by a phone call, fails to see Sai util it's too late. The impact is swifty and devastating.
Sai is thrown to the ground, unconscious, his body limb and bleeding. Passerby rush to help, calling emergency services as the driver exits the vehicle in shock.
The ambulance arrives swiftly, paramedics rushing to stabilize Sai condition. They work frantically, assessing injuries and administering life - saving measures.
"We need to intubate and start IV fluids. His vitals are dropping"
"Prepare for transport to the ER. We're losing him"
Pain coursed through every fiber of Sai, a relentless torrent that threatened to consume him as he lay in bed. The world around him spun in a chaotic blur, fragments of shattered glass and twisted metal casting eerie reflections of the life he had known.
Blood pounded in Sai ears, his vision clouded with a haze that shimmered between consciousness and oblivion. His breath came in ragged gasps, each inhalation a struggle.
As moments stretched into eternity, Sai mind raced with fragmented memories - a tapestry of joys and sorrows woven together in the tapestry of his life. Faces flickered before him like ethereal apparition - loves one, friends and moment of laughter that now seemed distant and fragile.
"I never thought it would end like this," Sai whispered, his voice barely audible. His fingered trembled as he reached out, seeking solace in the touch of memories that slipped through his grasp like grains of sand.
Regrets and what- ifs swirled in the recesses of Sai mind, a haunting symphony of missed opportunities and dream left unfulfilled. He thought of Isabella, his lovely sister whose smile had once lit up his darkest days, now a distant echo in the labyrinth of his thought.
"I'm sorry, Isabella," Sai murmured, his voice trembling with emotion. "I should have told you..."
But the words hung in the air, unanswered and unresolved- a testament to the weight of silence that had shadowed their love and now threatened to engulf him in its final embrace.
Images flashed before Sai eyes - a childhood spent with his sister, a promised to protect his sister forever, his parents face.
"I wish I had more time," Sai whispered, his voice cracking with the weights of unspoken farewell. "To make things right, to say goodbye.."
But time was fleeting illusion, slipping through Sai fingers like water as darkness closed in around him. His thoughts turned to moments of laughter shared with friends and his sister smiling face.
"I will miss you all," Sai murmured, his voice a whisper against the silence that enveloped him.
"Remember me"
And as the world faded into oblivion, Sai closed his eyes, surrendering to the inevitability of fate with a quiet resignation that bordered on acceptance. His heart beat its final cadence, a symphony of memories and regrets that echoed in the emptiness of the night.
In his last breath Sai found peace of his last struggling - a fleeting moment of clarity that transcended the pain and sorrow of his final moments and his sister devastating face.
"We lost him"
........
The grocery store buzzed with usual night activity; aisles filled with shoppers going about their routine while Isabella White manned the checkout with practiced efficiency. Her blue eyes flickered across the item passing before her, her mind drifting briefly to the thoughts of her brother, Sai, who had left for work that afternoon with a wave of promise that he want to tell her something.
A chill crept down Isabella's spine, a sensation that prickled with unease as she handed a receipt to a customer. A premonition, faint yet undeniable, settled in the corners of her mind like a shadow waiting to be revealed.
Mrs. Anita, elderly woman from the neighborhood known for her intuitive nature, approached Isabella counter with a basket of groceries. Isabella greeted her with a warm smile, though inside, her heart raced with a sense of foreboding.
"Good night, Mrs. Anita. How are you today?" Isabella asked, her voice masking the undercurrent of anxiety that pulsed through her.
The elderly woman paused, her eyes fixing on Isabella with a knowing look that sent a shiver down Isabella's spine.
"I had a dream last night, dear." Mrs. Anita began softly, her voice carrying a weight that made Isabella's breath catch in her throat.
" A vision of danger, hovering over someone close to you."
Isabella's hands trembled slightly as she scanned Mrs. Anita items, her mind racing with thoughts of Sai and the protective instinct that surged within her." Thank you for telling me," Isabella murmured, her voice thick with emotion as she tried to dismiss the ominous feeling that gripped her.
As Mrs. Anita gathered her groceries and left; Isabella thoughts were consumed by the warning - fragile thread of foresight that refused to be ignored. She glanced at her phone, hoping for a message from Sai to reassure her of his safety.
But what awaited her was far from reassurance.
The phone buzzed in her hand, a notification that sent a jolt of fear through Isabella's veins. With trembling fingers, she opened the message- a news alert that flashed across the screen, words that blurred into devastating reality.
"Fatal accident on route 22. "
Isabella's heart stopped, the air around her thickening with a suffocating weight as she struggled to comprehend the unthinkable. Tears welled in her eyes as she read further, her worst fears confirmed in stark, unyielding text.
As the casualty was her brother Sai white.
Time seemed to stand still as Isabella world shattered around her - a symphony of grief and disbelief echoing in the caverns of her soul. She clung to the checkout counter for support, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she tried to make sense of the cruel twist of fate that had torn Sai from her life.
" No..." Isabella whispered, her voice a plea against the merciless hand of destiny that had robbed her of her brother. Her mind flashed back to Mrs. Anita premonition, the pieces of a puzzles falling into place with agonizing clarity.
She left the store ...
