CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

EDWARD'S POV

The curtain had taken care to move a little to allow the morning light pierce through the window to awaken me. I groaned frustratingly. It seemed all the elements in the universe had joined forces to torment me.

 Without opening my eyes, I let my hands wander to the side of the bed where Roxanne was supposed to be, but felt no one. But she was here a while ago, or was it all a dream? 

Certainly some of it must have been real. The honey tasting pink elevated dots on her twin oranges and the little opened cave seen when the two human locomotor machine had parted. They had to be real.

I thought I had passed the age where wet dreams were a frequent occurrence. Why then did it always find a way to implant itself in my dream?
