CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE

AUTHOR'S POV

Coming back to live with Mary was a prayer answered to Selena. She had dreamed of nothing but to be reunited and forgiven by her foster family, and to be accepted by them.

It had come true. Before her eyes, was little Michael struggling to draw her image on the sketch pad he held. He was concentrating so fully that a tear forced its way out of her eyes.

She was too happy to smile. All she could do was shed the happiness down in tears, at seeing him paint so intently.

No, it wasn't the painting that brought tears to her eyes. It was her love for him that broke her, making her adore him even more.

When he had been born, she had rushed to hold the baby even before his mom because she felt a strong attachment to him, like he was hers.
