Sunday, it's time for a morning jog around the complex garden while greeting the neighbors' dogs and cats who take part in morning exercise with their owners. I am very friendly to everyone, even animals. Sometimes I invite the animals to interact and that makes people excited to see me. Even though it's not funny at all. I'm just carrying out my duties as a human who must do good to all of God's creatures, except for that annoying Nareswara.
Just look, I'm preparing a reply that will make Nareswara give up on teasing me again. He's been so mischievous since he was little and that hasn't changed until now even though I only met him again after a long time. Did he become a bully in Seoul so he returned to North Jakarta to protect his family's reputation and start a new life here? Why do I sound like I care about him?
I shouldn't have thought about Nareswara because after I thought about it, he was here. In front of me with a smile that looks friendly, but I won't be affected by that smile because I know that there must be bad intentions hidden in that evil brain. So I ignored him and ran without caring if he chased me and is now running beside me. I hope he doesn't make a sound, if he makes a sound then I'll kick his long legs. Why can he be this tall while I can't grow tall, Agha said that I can only grow to one hundred and fifty-five. Did Nareswara attract all the calcium in my body so he could grow tall like this? One hundred and seventy-five and Garvi, who is a basketball player, is only one hundred and sixty-eight.
Sadly, they can both grow to be taller than this because they are still growing. I should have been able to, but in fact, there was no change in my height, only my weight increased by one kilogram.
"I entrusted the present to Agha and it's not like the one from last night," he said when I stopped running and was now walking.
Yes, I already know that. This morning before running, Agha gave me the gift and it was quite an interesting gift. A baby powder made in South Korea. He knows that I use baby powder instead of powder for teenagers. But I'm still annoyed. Ok, I received the powder but I can't accept the prank last night.
So I won't say thank you in return for last night. For some reason, I have a grudge against Nareswara and this feeling has been there since childhood. Meanwhile, I have never held a grudge against anyone, oh, I also now hold a grudge against Garvi. Have I just realized that I am a vengeful person? I don't know, I was dizzy and I just remembered that there was a math assignment that I hadn't done because I couldn't calculate the final result.
"Hi Cece, good morning and have a nice day," I said to the neighbor's dog named Cece. She is very cute with golden brown fur.
Woof, woof, woof
How smart Cece was to answer my greeting. She is indeed a smart and adorable dog. If I get permission to keep a dog, it's guaranteed that I will keep a Siberian Husky to scare Nareswara.
"Good morning Nay. Just say hello to Cece, Grandpa not?" Grandpa Rob, Cece's owner, teased me because it was my habit to only greet Cece.
I smiled and started to greet Grandpa Rob, "Good morning Grandpa Rob, I hope you are always healthy," I said and was answered with Grandpa Rob's typical smile, even though he was old, his handsome aura was still visible.
"Who is he," asked Grandpa Rob, pointing at Nareswara who was standing five feet from me because Nareswara was afraid of dogs and looks, and his face became tense because he was hiding his fear.
"He's Nareswara, he just came back here last night," I answered Grandpa Rob and Grandpa Rob looked surprised to see Nareswara.
I glared at Nareswara so he would shake hands with Grandpa Rob but he shook his head slowly with a very funny facial connotation. If I didn't know how to behave in front of Grandpa Rob, I would have laughed at him.
Grandpa Rob laughed and maybe he realized that Nareswara was afraid of dogs. "Next time we'll meet Nares if Grandpa isn't with Cece," said Grandpa Rob understandingly and continued his morning walk with Cece.
There was clear relief on Nareswara's face when Cece left, but I thought that bad luck would happen to Nareswara because our neighbor, Sandra, was running with her dog and the dog named Keno was running behind Nareswara.
Woof, woof, woof
I couldn't stop laughing anymore, Nareswara, who was shocked by the sound of the dog, immediately ran fast, while Sandra didn't realize that Nareswara was afraid of dogs and she kept running behind Nareswara with her dog. My laughter got louder when Nareswara was about to slip because he was so afraid of dogs. It seems that God has avenged my annoyance at Nareswara, so I won't do anything to avenge Nareswara's mischief yesterday.
After running from a dog that wasn't chasing him, he was the only one who was too scared but seemed stupid. Nareswara finally got tired and now he was walking beside me. I glanced at Nareswara and on Nareswara's jaw, there were drops of sweat from his head. And I saw that Nareswara's facial skin was smoother than mine. Not only that, Nareswara's face was not like yesterday. Does he know to change faces or is he like Johnny Deep with a hundred faces?
"Why are you back here?" I asked without looking at him again because I didn't want him to get too big of a head when he was noticed by a woman as beautiful as me.
"This is my place and I'm more comfortable here," he answered casually but I knew he was hiding something because I know him quite well but what if he has changed now because humans will never be the same over time?
I thought of one thing. "Are you bullying there?" I asked and I changed my mind. He didn't seem like the type of naughty kid but rather a kid who was easy to bully.
He shook his head and I almost tripped when I turned to look at him just now.
"I'm popular because of my good looks and having a lot of talent." The story was a brag and I wanted to knock him on the head so he wouldn't brag.
But it's true, he does have a lot of talent. One of them is my talent for pranking me.
"Oh yes, I went to Garvi's house but no one answered my call. Are he and his family not at home?"
I had just been nice to him, why did he ruin my mood by asking about Garvi? He is good at ruining the atmosphere and upsetting people. Ah, that's Nareswara's second talent.
"They went to high ground," I answered him very evenly.
"Why didn't you tell me when they died," he asked surprised and I was also surprised by what he had just said. How could he think that?
Gosh, am I the one who answered wrong or is he the one who doesn't understand words like this?
