After cycling, Nareswara invited me to have breakfast together at the place where the street vendors were selling their wares. He said he missed eating here and wanted to buy his favorite Chicken Porridge. Because I don't like Chicken Porridge, he bought me Sum-Sum Porridge. Not only that, he also bought two glasses of hot tea which was not warm but very hot. If it's like this, I remember that time, the time when Betari teased Nareswara who would turn into a colorful chicken because he often had Chicken Porridge for breakfast. Why do memories like this make me laugh and my laughter attracts Nareswara's attention?
"If it turns crazy, it's better to just stay at home, not in public places."
I glanced at Nareswara sharply and my previous laughter disappeared due to Nareswara's words just now. I don't know if my laughter was laughing at him, who if hebutally would turn into a colorful chicken? Remembering it again makes me laugh out loud.
Nareswara stirred his Chicken Porridge, he stirred the Chicken Porridge team. Look, he hasn't forgotten how to stir Chicken Porridge even though he hasn't eaten Chicken Porridge for a long time. Don't even forget the main ritual before eating Chicken Porridge, namely smelling the aroma of Chicken Porridge and then sprinkling it with crumbs of crackers.
"I want to eat Soto for breakfast but I'm more interested in Chicken Porridge. It's not a problem because it's both Soto soup." Honestly, I'm curious about what Nareswara just said.
"What do you mean, this Chicken Porridge soup is Soto soup?" I asked because I didn't know.
Nareswara's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at me. "You don't know?" he asked dramatically.
I nodded. "I just found out that Chicken Porridge soup uses Soto soup." Yes, I only found out today because I've never eaten Chicken Porridge so I didn't know.
Nareswara shook his head slowly and then fed Chicken Porridge into his mouth. He looked like he enjoyed his breakfast this morning. Looks like he misses Chicken Porridge. Is there anyone in Seoul selling Chicken Porridge but it seems like there isn't any? If there were, Nareswara definitely wouldn't be this dramatic. Suddenly my brain came up with a crazy idea. "I don't like Chicken Porridge because if you stir it it's like cat vomit."
Those narrow eyes stared at me deadly but not at all disgusted. Instead, he scooped up the Chicken Porridge with a deadly stare. You're good at acting. If I say something like this to Garvi, it's guaranteed that the guy will vomit and won't eat chicken porridge for two months.
"Eat the porridge, I bought this with Papa's money so don't waste it." He always disobeyed his Father's money because he couldn't make his own money so he was always proud of his Father's money.
"Use inherited money." I laughed crisply while eating the Sum-Sum Porridge that had just been touched due to my focused daydreaming.
"The most valuable treasure is Papa and Grandpa's inheritance." Nareswara laughed at my singing until his already narrow eyes became even narrower.
No wonder Mother gets along with Nareswara because they are the same. Both are happy about their parents' inheritance. Our family was able to buy a house in that housing complex because my Father and Mother inherited an inheritance. So, the inherited money is used to buy a house to make it much more useful and visible. My parents are the same as Garvi's parents, they also bought a house because of the inheritance. Even Nareswara's parents, who are richer than my parents and Garvi's parents, also got the house as a wedding gift from Nareswara's grandfather in Solo.
Why am I discussing unimportant things about inheritance, anyway?
Before I knew it, my Sum-Sum Porridge was finished but I still felt hungry. Looks like Chicken Satay and Lontong sounds delicious. What if I force the child who inherited this to buy Chicken Satay Lontong? "To make the inheritance useful, buy me a portion of Chicken Satay and lontong." I put on as cute a face as possible and I'm sure it must have looked weird.
Nareswara looked at me while drinking the warm tea then put down the tea glass and stood up from his seat. He paid the bill for Porridge and hot tea after that he forced me to stand up from my seat. I'm sure he will buy me Chicken Satay so I'm just thinking positively. My face suddenly became sullen when he got on the bicycle and told me to get on.
"Chicken satay," I muttered to him who was already sitting on the back of his bicycle, tugging at the hem of his sports t-shirt.
"Have breakfast at home. Auntie has cooked breakfast for you so you have to eat it." Why does he sound like Mom like this? Ah, it's no wonder Mother likes him more than she likes me.
I was still pouting while he babbled about how his life in Seoul wasn't as fun as it is here. There he had to do many things that made his body tired and that took up his time playing. He had to study, so he moved here to make his life more relaxed. Meanwhile, Betari feels at home there because her twin likes studying and can be said to be crazy about learning.
"It's really fun, getting an inheritance, living a relaxed life, and being able to play," I commented and he laughed out loud. The laughter didn't come out for a long time.
I exhaled and felt that Nareswara lost his freedom and happiness there. It was clear from his loose voice that it seemed as if he had returned to the normal life he had longed for. Should I be very nice to him and not ignore him? Or erase my dislike for him so that Nareswara's life here will truly feel alive, because he won't be lonely due to being far from his family. But ... I can't yet because of my naughty nature and won't let myself calm down for a second.
He was still laughing and my heart was touched when I heard his laugh.
Can't he laugh out loud like this when he's in Seoul because his schedule is so busy and it stresses him out so much that he loses his laugh?
"Nareswara, don't you need to go to a psychologist for a consultation because you seem to be stressed," I said and he immediately braked his bicycle suddenly until my head hit his back.
"Get down," he ordered in an annoyed voice but I was reluctant to get down.
Nareswara was crazy, he shook his bike to get me off the pillion but I wouldn't budge. It's just fine for me to live here alone.
"Garvi," shouted Nareswara and I automatically looked in the direction where Nareswara shouted.
Yes, damn. It was Garvi and his mistress. I'm sick of seeing that. He was riding with his mistress and they looked happy while I was here like a crazy person who was forced to get off Nareswara's bicycle. Why can he look so fine while I still harbor feelings of hatred and anger towards him? This all torments me. I want to go home immediately and take a shower and have breakfast, then learn to divert all of this.
"He's busy dating so he can't be bothered, we'd better go home because I'm starving." I hope Nareswara complies because I wouldn't be able to if Nareswara knew that Garvi and I were dating.
I couldn't bear Nareswara's reaction.
Nareswara nodded. "Seeing him dating makes me want to vomit. Look at their ridiculous dating style."
I don't want to see it and just once I saw them making out. Not for the second time or ever.
"Okay, let's go home because someone is hungry, but why isn't her body weight decreasing, huh?" He complied with my request but his sarcasm sounded annoying.
On the way home he suddenly stopped and said, "I feel hungry after giving you a ride." Then he returned to pedaling his bicycle, laughing.
What a damn thing he said. Seriously, how heavy am I? Ugh, annoying.
