Chapter 11

"What the hell are you doing?"

Nareswara peeked at my phone screen. Then he asked again, "How do I operate this?" Ambiguous question. How can he not be able to operate a phone when his phone is better than mine?

"Friends and Betari like doing things like this." I don't understand what he means.

"What are you talking about?" I asked as I put the phone on my thigh and turned to look at Nareswara.

When looked at closely like this, Nareswara's facial skin looks smooth and clean. There are no blackheads between her nose and her lips always look moist with red lipstick that never goes wrong. Please don't compare it with my face because it is very different from it. Oh my, what have I noticed? I blinked my eyes then turned to take out my phone again and play Instagram.

"Here," Nareswara pointed at my phone screen. "Why do so many people create content like this and why do so many people waste their time looking at it," he continued again, and this time I just knew what he meant. He should have said it more clearly like this earlier so that I wouldn't be confused. Why do I feel Nareswara's communication is a bit different? Maybe this is the result of studying too much and rarely playing, but not Betari.

I am being curious. "Nares, have you been living in a megalithic ancient human cave all this time and not living in Seoul," I asked him and his reaction made me smile without realizing it.

He narrowed his already narrow eyes into a line. Her gaze wasn't as annoying as usual because her lips were pouting cutely. Why is he always so cute from the past, I'm so jealous. "I told you earlier, that many people spend their time doing things like this. Meanwhile, I don't know how to use social media," he explained and his face became even more sullen.

I shook my head slowly. "I thought, you live in a developed but outdated city." I patted his shoulder which felt hard with the muscles forming. Without realizing it, I no longer patted him but squeezed his shoulders to feel his hard shoulder muscles. He looked at me with a look that I couldn't decipher because today he was so ambiguous. It is very ambiguous, perhaps even megalithic humans are not as ambiguous.

"Hum," He cleared his throat and I realized and moved my hands away from his muscular shoulders. To divert the atmosphere, I returned to focusing on my phone.

"Teach me to create a social media account," he asked and I was very sure that he wasn't acting.

"Where have you been all this time? When young people compete to create content and look cool on social media, where have you gone? Cave," I asked him and grabbed his phone which had been in his left hand.

He pointed at himself, "Me? I play games in internet cafes when I'm stressed from studying for too long."

Looks like I misjudged him. He is not outdated but an ancient human who plays games to relieve stress. If it's like this, he is classified as an ancient human who is slightly more advanced, meaning he is not megalithic but neolithic. Or something, yeah. Indeed, there were neolithic ancient humans. Looks like I'll have to read articles on the internet later.

very flat. If it's like this, it feels like it's useless for me to teach him because he's not interested at all. If he's not interested then why would he want to create an account and ask to be taught? But it doesn't matter, the important thing is that I can get treats for one week.

At this close distance, I can feel his steady breath and his scent tickling my nose. The aroma of this perfume is different from the aroma of other market perfumes. Usually, when I smell someone's perfume, my nose is very sensitive and will get dizzy but not with Nareswara perfume. The aroma is so calming and doesn't make you dizzy. It feels like my nose is so picky. I often protest Garvi not to come close to me when using perfume because the aroma makes me dizzy.

"Try making a story now," I told Nareswara and he took his phone from my hand then took a photo of my living room wall and sent it to his Instagram story.

"Using a song is much better," I said, getting up from the sofa because it was time for dinner.

Our dinner was late because Mother forgot to cook and especially invited Nareswara to have dinner together. Because Nareswara's house assistant was not assigned to cook, only to clean the house and then go home.

Our relationship is really strange, isn't it? Earlier, I was so annoyed and didn't like Nareswara. Now I am kind to Nareswara. But yes, this is how our relationship has always been. Unclear.

"Let's wait for Agha first, it looks like he's still stuck in traffic." Usually, we eat first without waiting for Agha. However, because today is Nareswara's welcoming dinner, we have to wait for Agha.

After Mother told me dinner was postponed, I returned to the living room. But my steps stopped when I heard Zeina's screams as she ran down the stairs. Zeina's scream, accompanied by a tone of fear and the smell of crying, made Mother, Father, and Nareswara stand beside me. Seeing Zeina walking towards us holding her right eyelash.

"These false eyelashes can't come off, huaaaaaaaa," cried Zeina in front of us.

Our only reaction was to gape at Zeina's eyelashes, which looked as thick as a floor broom.

"Huaaaaaaaa, help me take it off, sob!"

Honestly, I don't know how to help her. Meanwhile, Mother and Father panicked and Father even ran to get the car keys and Mother said, "We're going to the hospital now." Maybe a good solution.

"Let me help you take it off and you don't have to go to the hospital," said Nareswara, walking over to Zeina, then he bent down to look closely at Zeina's false eyelashes.

"How can you?" I asked uncertainly.

He glanced briefly with scary eyes, then focused again on Zeina's false eyelashes and invited Zeina to return to her room. My Father, Mother, and I followed them because we were curious about how to remove the false eyelashes.
