The Place Called Home

I felt her gloveless hands touch my shoulders, her cold skin a stark contrast to my own. As I slowly lifted my head, my vision remained blurry, refusing to focus. 


"Im Jeong Su!" a voice boomed from outside the cage, a sudden interruption to the tense silence. 


"He won't harm me; he's still Su Jin to me," Jeong Su said softly, her voice a gentle melody amidst the chaos. 


She wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me into a tight hug, and suddenly, a wave of ease washed over me, calming my frazzled nerves. 


"Jeoneun Su Jin chingu Im Jeong Su ibnida (I'm Su Jin's friend, Im Jeong Su)." She said repeatedly stroking my hair like a dogs fur and patting my back gently. 


My eyes snapped back into focus, and I stared at her in surprise, amazed by her ability to soothe my savage beast. 


She released me from the hug, her hands still grasping mine, and turned to face the rest of the team, their faces a picture of shock and awe.
