White Wolf

"What wolf, what are you talking about?" The panic that appears on his face out of nowhere takes me by surprise.

"You asked about my dreams" i respond, spinning the bottle cap in my hand on the table.

"Oh" he says, his body relaxing.

"What else" he probes me to continue.

He pulls the chair opposite me back, and sits on it.

I think back to the dreams, the wolf staring at me like it knew me. The sadness that never fades from its beautiful eyes.

"Nothing" i shrug "Nothing happens next".

Something about the dream felt too real, too personal to share.

I lay awake later at night staring at the empty ceiling.

I had thought he would stay over but he hadn't, he had left after receiving a phone call.

Sometimes when i look at him, i feel like there's more to him, more than a high schooler, more than a teenager.

I sigh and roll on my belly.

Something is changing, i don't know what but it is making me nervous.

I close my eyes and drift away into the land of dreams were my tender eyed wolf is waiting for me.

I see the ground shaking like a big earthquake is about to happen, the trees dance about madly as if trying to escape their place on the earth.

Then i see a big white wolf, as big as my grey wolf, beautiful and wild.

It runs towards me and flashes a scary set of fangs as if it were trying to comfort me.

I feel no fear in its presence, no panic, the earthquake, the mad trees, none of it mattered.

The wolf turns its back to me and begins to make its way majestically into the dark forest before us.

It stops and turns back to me as if asking me to come along.

I didn't wait for a second invitation as my legs begin to move forward of its own accord.

Then i hear a loud call behind me, i turn around and see the grey wolf running towards me with panic and pain in its beautiful eyes.

But run as fast as it would, it couldn't breach the distance between us.

It seems to be running on infinitely struggling to get to me.

I roll onto my sides as the sunlight hit my eyelids.

ZACHARY

"We need to do something about Farrel" simon is saying

"Got any ideas?" I ask absentmindedly throwing a baseball in the air and catching it.

"Yeah a few and they all involve catching and killing him." He says with a frown clearly displeased by my nonchalance.

"You're really not going to do anything about him?" Beau ask.

"I'm not the alpha, thats a problem for the alpha" i reply still throwing and catching my ball.

I had left savannah in a hurry yesterday after i got a call from andre about an emergency cabinet meeting my father had called.

It had greatly pained and troubled me that my own father had excluded me from a cabinet meeting.

I who was going to be alpha in a few years or months.

If he didn't think i was capable of leading the pack then i had no business troubling myself with its problems.

Let the alpha handle the rogue wolf and his army.
