Chapter 16

Arriving at the party it wasn’t before everyone was scattered in the whole place. this was a farmhouse rented by Sam’s friends. They told Sam to bring everyone from his group so he did.

This place was pretty huge. There were rooms and washroom separate for girls and guys on the opposite side of the main pool. The pool was 5’5 deep and was in the middle of the room.

There were beach chairs at the sides of the pool and slides at 2 sides there was even a spring board at the side of the pool.

“ Adina let’s click some photos” Amanda suggested and the whole group gathered to click photos before they go in the water or do anything. While they were taking photos Elina and Sam asked Grey to click their pictures. They looked dam pretty.

Elina wore a black and white flowy dress that reached her mid-thigh. She let down her light brown hair and went for big hoops for earrings. Sam wore a white shirt and black pants complementing her as much as she complemented him. They both looked so beautiful and so in love it was wholesome.

“ let’s take solo shots for everyone,” Elina said as one by one everyone took turns. When it was Adina’s turn she stood simply and smiled. A lot of the guys had taken notice of her when she first arrived and thought she was sexy but seeing her smile they found her cute and adorable. But then she turned her back to the camera and looked back giving a serious and sexy look taking breaths away from people.

“ Grey let’s take a photo together” Adina suggested taking him by surprise but didn’t argue.

They both stood together having some distance between them as they clicked photos.

“ Move closer you too” Brinda suggested

“ this much is enough” Grey replied before Adina could say anything. Once they were done everyone went in the pool except for Elina. She sat on the beach chair admiring everyone from afar while taking sips of her margarita.

“ Can I sit there?” Adina head turned towards the source of the voice. she didn’t bother voicing out her consent and just nodded. The guy took the seat beside her and started sipping his pina colada.

“So which department are you from?” Adina looked at the guy and narrowed her eyes.

“ you know which department I am from why bother asking?” the guy was taken aback.

“How did you know that I know?”

“ I saw you when I taking pictures. You were asking Sam’s friend while pointing towards me and Grey”

“That…was sharp. Gosh, I didn’t think you would be this intimidating” Adina scoffed and took another sip. This dude was nearly as tall as grey still he thought of her as intimidating. She didn’t know if it was a compliment or an insult.

“Look I just wanted to start a conversation with you I didn’t mean to look weird. It’s just when you arrived I noticed you and couldn’t help but want to know you. Even though you have a boyfriend and you both looked so good together”

“Which department are you from?” Adina cut him off.

“ Civil engineering”

“Everything all right Adina?” Grey had taken notice the moment that guy approached Adina. He was sure she could handle him but there was just this burning feeling inside him he couldn’t ignore so before he knew he was there.

“ yup I was just making sure which department to stay away from”

whoever was listening to the conversation while pretending not to choke on their drinks.

Did she just destroy the guy with one line?

“We are about to go grab a bite” Grey extended his arm which Adina didn’t hesitate to take.

They both walked away leaving everyone jealous. They wanted what they had.

“What did he say?” grey asked so Adina told him everything.

“That bastard” Grey cursed and turned wanting to punch that guy but Adina stopped him.

“Grey I sent a clear message. Besides he knows I have a boyfriend”

Grey nodded but then something hit him.

“When did he see you with Fredrick?”

“What?”

“ he said even though you and your boyfriend looked so good together. Does he know Fredrick?”

Adina thought for a second and hit her forehead.

“ I think he was talking about you and me” Grey’s jaw dropped while Adina couldn’t stop scolding herself. How can she be so stupid to make him think she and Grey were dating?

“ Sorry dude”

“It’s alright.” ‘I don’t mind, to be honest’

They both went towards the food table and grabbed a bite. Everyone waited for a while before they moved back in the pool while Adina sat on a beach chair.

“ ADINA" Elina called asking her to take her earrings. Adina moved towards the pool and bent down attempting to take the earrings. That was when Sam and Grey appeared from the under water and pulled her in.

Adina’s mouth filled with water as she quickly tried to regain control over her body. She moved at the top of the pool but she was only 5’2 and the pool was 5’5. Her legs couldn’t reach the bottom and she didn’t knew how to swim. Luckily Grey knew that and pulled her above water.

Adina coughed trying to take as much oxygen as she can. Once she regained her breath she looked at Grey and hit him on the chest.

“Are you fucking out of your mind? What if I drowned? I told you I can’t swim”

“ do you really think I would let that happen?” Grey held her up by putting one hand behind he back while he used his other to hold her. Apparently she was pretty strong for someone 5’2.

“ This is not funny Grey. Leave me I want to get out”

“ okay!” Grey let go of her as she started to drown. Immediately she grabbed onto him and hugged him tightly. She started shaking violently concerning grey who held her quickly and moved to the side.

He pushed her up and sat beside her.

“HEY! You okay? I am sorry I was just messing around. We just wanted you in the water with us”
