Tracy's POV
I decided to take the dishes to the kitchen when I was done eating. It's a surprise Mrs. Lauretha didn't show up; I guess she now knows that I'm free to take a walk.
For the past few days, I have never thought or planned to escape since the previous warning. Now that I'm free to roam around, I guess I should take this as a great opportunity; I thought in bed and rolled sideways in excitement. Although I know escaping won't be that easy, at least I can now try to.
I was still deep in thought, thinking of my escape plan, when I suddenly heard his voice in my head. I froze on a spot in bed, and all of a sudden, everything that makes me alive seemed to stop functioning.
"Hey, go wait for me in the room with your head bowed." I heard him say.
I blinked twice and came back to be alive again when I heard him complete his sentence. I thought he would be gone for a long time, and I thought I'd have to worry less for a few days.
