"Do you want this?" Klaus held the pouch in his hand and waved it in front of the black iron snake to draw its attention. Its eyes bulged as it stared at the pouch in Klaus's hand.
The next moment, Klaus threw the bag in the opposite direction. The black iron snake's head whipped backward first, and then its body followed the direction of its head.
Klaus took the opportunity to escape, running as fast as he could into the thick grass, hoping only that he was fast enough to get back to the campsite for help.
The sound of the wind rustled in his ears, and horizontal branches scratched his exposed skin. But the scratches meant nothing to him. In his mind, there was only one thought.
Escape.
"It's too strong, I'm no match for it," Klaus said to himself as he ran frantically.

"Damn that panel!" Klaus hated the panel that appeared at this very moment. It seemed to remind him that he had to fight.
"No, I can't."
Fear was eating away at Klaus a little bit at a time, and an icy coldness was approaching him from behind. There was still darkness ahead.
With a loud crash, a large tree suddenly fell to the ground and blocked Klaus's path. He had to stop, and in the darkness, he saw the head of the black iron snake staring at him in mid-air.
He had nowhere to run now.
The black iron snake opened its mouth wide and bared its fangs towards Klaus. Its speed was fast and accurate. Klaus subconsciously raised his spear against the black iron snake's jaws, but the sharp spear didn't penetrate the hard scales of the black iron snake. The spear was only inserted into the gap between two scales.
The black iron snake's mouth hovered above Klaus's head, and if he made a mistake, he would become the black iron snake's dinner.
The black iron snake hissed in its throat and then jerked its head back. Klaus's spear was pulled out of the gap between the two scales, and he took advantage of the black iron snake's tilt of its head to quickly jump behind a large rock.
"The weakness is in the abdomen," Klaus reminded himself. If he was going to kill the black iron snake, he would have to hit its vitals.
While Klaus was still thinking about how to kill the black iron snake, the snake whipped its tail into the rock. In an instant, the huge rock was split into pieces, and Klaus's body was exposed to the black iron snake's sight.
But he reacted instantly, rolling his body to the other side as the black iron snake opened its mouth to devour him.
He knew that he couldn't hide from the black iron snake now. No matter where he hid, the black iron snake would smell his scent and find him.
"I only have one chance," Klaus thought as he dodged the black iron snake's attacks while holding his spear tightly, searching for the perfect moment.
Klaus decided to go for it.
He found an opportunity to circle around to the back of the black iron snake and then stabbed his spear into the last scale at the end of the black iron snake's tail.
Klaus remembered that Abe had told him that the end of the black iron snake's tail was weaker and more sensitive. The result was just as Abe had described; the black iron snake's mouth opened wide in agony as soon as he was struck in the tail.
The black iron snake reared up, its head shaking in mid-air from the pain. At that moment, a sniper's red dot appeared in Klaus's line of sight, pointing precisely at the vulnerable spot on the black iron snake's abdomen.
Klaus raised his spear and threw it at the black iron snake, but the next moment, the black iron snake slammed its upper body into Klaus and he was thrown to the ground before he could react.
Just as Klaus was about to get up from the ground, the black iron snake bit him on the lower half of his body. He was slowed down due to the fact that he had expended too much energy while fighting with the black iron snake.
Just one second slower, and he would have become the black iron snake's meal.
The black iron snake had its mouth clamped around Klaus from the waist down. Luckily, he was wearing an armored undershirt; otherwise, his backbone would have been broken.
But he could clearly feel the black iron snake's powerful bite, and his lower half was almost numb, only his upper half hanging in the air.
The black iron snake didn't seem to be in a hurry to eat Klaus. It bit into his lower body and rocked it back and forth, slamming it into the thick tree trunk.
He's not hungry; he's just playing with his prey.
Klaus was dizzy from the shaking, but he tried to stay awake. His hand gripped his spear, and his body swayed upside down as he tried to find a chance to strike the black iron snake in the gut.
As his swaying body neared the black iron snake's abdomen, he immediately hurled his spear at his target.
The black iron snake opened its mouth and screamed as Klaus fell from the air and hit the ground hard. The snake's entire body fell backward with a heavy thud.
