Sitting there, Rose observed the scene before her, the surroundings, the noise emanating. The bar was lively. It was getting annoying.
As time passed, she decided not to delay any longer and to leave.
When she finally decided to leave, rising from her seat, she accidentally bumped into something, or rather, someone, quite imposing.
It was evidently a woman, tall, with a tattoo on her neck.
By bumping into her, Rose unintentionally spilled the drink she was holding onto the woman, thus staining her white shirt.
Naturally, this stopped her in her tracks, and she could hear her interlocutor grumbling under her breath.
« Damn, what the… » she muttered, shaking her wet shirt.
« Oh! I'm sorry! It's my fault! » Rose exclaimed, quickly understanding the situation.
As she tried to apologize, the young woman in front of her smiled slightly. She approached, making her presence strongly felt by Rose, who found her taller than she had imagined.
« You're going to pay for it. You'll buy another one. That simple. » she replied, her face just inches from Rose's, observing each of her reactions.
« Um... Yes? Of course? » Rose tried to explain, attempting to hide her discomfort.
She raised an eyebrow, probably finding Rose amusing. She smiled then.
« I like your character. I mean, it will serve you well later. » her smile widened, her voice slightly teasing now. « What's your name? »
« Rose. » Rose almost instantly replied, averting her gaze.
She nodded.
« Well, Rose. I'm Ravi. » She paused for a moment, her eyes devouring Rose from top to bottom, as if trying to analyze her entire being, before continuing. « You're really beautiful. You know that? »
« Huh? Are you always so forward with people you meet for the first time? » Rose asked, curious and surprised at the same time.
Ravi chuckled. « I'm just stating facts. You're really beautiful. You have beautiful rosy lips, gorgeous eyelashes, and a cute little nose. » She paused for a few seconds before continuing. « Oh, and even your hair is stunning. Smooth and long like that, honey-colored, it makes me hungry. »
« I... I'll reimburse your shirt and leave... » Rose tried to whisper, reflexively stepping back.
« Wait. » Ravi's voice was serious, slightly squinting her eyes to catch Rose's attention. She took a few steps, standing close to her again, arms crossed around her chest as she stared at her for a long moment.
« Uh... Y-Yes? »
« Don't leave now. Have a drink with me first. You're way too interesting to just leave like that. Besides, I always have the last word. » Ravi smirked.
« Do you think I'm easily influenced? Do I look so naive? »
« Everyone is influencible. It has nothing to do with naivety. I like to relax when I feel like it, I find it amusing. » Ravi looked at her, knowing she wouldn't convince her so easily. « So, are you coming or not? »
« No thanks, take care of yourself. » Rose simply replied before walking away, waving.
She felt Ravi's gaze on her as she walked away, the latter gently gritting her teeth.
Ravi had never met someone so stubborn before. Usually, she didn't have so much trouble getting her point across.
« Damn it… » She grumbled between breaths, averting her eyes.
