Nikolai strode down the now empty hallway, he had already dismissed the guards he had keeping an eye on Angelo.
When he got the call from Dan, he had a split-second thought that he had pushed the assassin to the brink and he had finally had enough.
Learning that Angelo had slept was more worrying than the assassin jumping out his window for a second time.
He opened the door and walked in, "Heard you were looking for me?" He asked as he did, finding Angelo sitting stiffly on the edge of his bed.
Angelo flinched although he knew it was Nikolai when the door knob turned. It hadn't been very long since he made the request to one of Nikolai's men, it was to his benefit to speak to the Mafia King as soon as possible but that didn't make it any easier.
While waiting for Nikolai to return he had tried to think of ways to convince the Mafia King to let him go, and he drew a blank every time.
